Real Madrid 2-1 Bayern Munich Match Facts 2023-24 Champions League Semifinal 2nd Leg

Despite Bayern Munich taking the league through Alphonso Davies in the 68th minute, Real Madrid made a stunning turnaround with a late double from Joselu to send them through to the Champions League final hosted in Wembley this season. The Los Blancos will face another German side Borussia Dortmund in the showpiece aiming for a record-extending 15th title.

Having drawn 2-2 in the first leg, both sides started the game on a high in the return match at Santiago Bernabeu. However, it was the home side that got the best of the opportunities. Vinícius Júnior struck the post while Rodrygo effort on the rebound was saved by Manuel Neuer. At the other end, Harry Kane also worked Andriy Lunin as the sides went to half-time scoreless.

The second-half burst into madness when substitute Davies cut in from the left and slammed the ball home with his right to give the visitors a stunning lead. Neuer made a number of crucial saves to keep his side's advantage but it was from his error that Joselu gobbled up his first of the evening in the 88th minute. The 34-year-old came up with the winner just two minutes later following a VAR check after initially called offside.
