Harry Kane has created more milestones for himself in the 2022/23 Premier League season with his undisputed scoring habits. While his club Tottenham Hotspurs hit a new low by missing out on European football completely, the 29-year-old has delivered immensely. The England captain just how good he is again.
Kane set and smashed several records in a memorable individual season with his all-time stat in the competition right at the top of it. The 30 goals were not enough to grab him the golden boot but Kane certainly won more than missing out on the award. He will be aiming to win it next season should he opts to stay in the Premier League beyond this summer if not for Spurs.
Here are the records Harry Kane set in the 2022/23 Premier League season:
The biggest record Harry Kane achieved was becoming the all-time top scorer for Tottenham Hotspurs in the 1-0 win over Manchester City in February this year. He suppressed club legend Jimmy Greaves’ tally of 266 goals in 379 games. Kane’s current tally is 280 goals in 435 games for the club.
Kane soon overtook Wayne Rooney in the all-time scorer list for Premier League with 213 goals placing himself second on the list. The master goal-scorer is only behind Newcastle legend Alan Shearer’s 260 tally in the competition.
Harry Kane is the first player in the competition’s history to score 30 goals in two 38-game Premier League seasons. Last time he reached that goal number was back in the 2017/18 campaign.
Kane is also the first player in competition history to score 10 Premier League goals on the final day of the season. This is the second time he has scored a brace in the last game in the 4-1 victory over Leeds United.
Spurs’ talisman has also scored in 26 different games in a single Premier League campaign equaling Andy Cole’s record in the competition.
England’s number nine bagged 16 away goals in the Premier League this season levelled up with Kevin Phillips's record in the 1999-2000 season. He has now scored 112 goals other than home in his career in the competition.
Kane has netted 10 headed goals of the 30 scored becoming the first ever player to reach that mark in a single Premier League campaign. The 29-year-old has also scored 10 goals in London derbies in a single Premier League season after Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink in the 2001/02 season.
Not just a goal-scorer, Harry Kane has assisted in 24 goals for his teammate Son Heung-min in Premier League history. The record is level with the one held by Frank Lampard for Didier Drogba.
One and only
Harry Kane is the only player in Premier League history to have scored 100 goals both at home and away. He has scored 42.8% of the goals Tottenham have managed this season.
