Welcome to Gameweek 17 edition of Premier League team of the week. GW17 of the EPL was yet another exciting one, with Unai Emery's Aston Villa continuing their excellent form and Mikel Arteta's Arsenal managing to extend their time at the top of the table. Certain players put in some excellent performances as well this week, who have been thus selected by us for Gameweek 17 TOTW. Premier League/EPL Team of the Week for this week (Gameweek 17)
Goalkeeper
Caoimhin Kelleher (Brentford)
Kelleher is our best goalkeeper pick for EPL Team of the week, as he helped Brentford keep a clean sheet in what was a comfortable 2-0 win for the club.
Defenders
Matheus Nunes (Manchester City)
Pep Guardiola has managed to turn Portuguese midfielder Matheus Nunes into an impressive right back, and he was fantastic in their 3-0 thrashing of West Ham.
Piero Hincapié (Arsenal)
Piero Hincapié continues to get better with each passing week at Arsenal, and he's only going to get better and better. He was solid at the back and helped his team keep a clean sheet against Everton away.
Nathan Collins (Brentford)
Brentford and Republic of Ireland captain Nathan Collins had a great performance against Wolves for Brentford. He didn't just play well against them but also showcased his great leadership abilities as well.
Antonee Robinson (Fulham)
Antonee Robinson has established himself as one of the finest left-backs in the Premier League over the past year, and he was influential for Fulham in what was a narrow 1-0 win over Forest.
Midfielders
Keane Lewis-Potter (Brentford)
Although technically a left-back, Keane Lewis-Potter is a magnificent player when it comes to being versatile, as he scored a brace for Brentford as a left-winger against Wolves. The future looks bright for him.
Ethan Ampadu (Leeds United)
Former Chelsea player Ethan Ampadu had a solid performance in midfield as he helped Leeds destroy Crystal Palace 4-1. He even ended up scoring a goal as well.
Declan Rice (Arsenal)
Declan Rice continues to prove how significant he is to Arsenal with each passing Gameweek. He is the perfect example of a player who has completely justified his huge transfer fee and made it look like a bargain. Simply fantastic against Everton.
Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa)
Morgan Rogers is arguably the second best player in the Premier League right now only behind Erling Haaland. He also single-handedly destroyed Manchester United with an iconic brace that he'll always remember.
Forwards
Nick Woltemade (Newcastle)
Woltemade is a rare player in this list who's included despite not being on the winning side, and that's a testament to the excellent player that he is. His brace against Chelsea is just one from many more to come.
Erling Haaland (Manchester City)
Erling Haaland is nothing less than a machine. He scored 2 and set up another in City's 3-0 win over West Ham. The Norwegian has now scored 19 Premier League goals in just 17 league games. Simply unbelievable.
