Premier League/EPL Team of the Week 2

Goalkeeper

Jordan Pickford (Everton)

Jordan Pickford continues to show why he is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League despite playing for a struggling club like Everton. With 4 saves, including a penalty save against Brighton star Danny Welbeck, he helped Everton achieve a clean sheet and key victory.

Defenders

Jurrien Timber (Arsenal)

Jurrien Timber put up one of the best attacking displays by a Premier League defender in recent history. He managed to finish Arsenal's game against Leeds United with 2 goals and an assist. What an excellent way to begin your Premier League season with Arsenal.

Cristian Romero (Tottenham)

Cristian Romero continues to showcase himself as a true leader after being handed the captaincy of Tottenham Hotspur. He managed to put in a heroic display against Manchester City, stopping the likes of Erling Haaland, Omar Marmoush, and Tijjani Reijnders. Even better things are sure to come from him.

Trevoh Chalobah (Chelsea)

From being loaned by Chelsea to Crystal Palace last season to now being a starting defender for them, Trevoh Chalobah has indeed come a long way. His immense strength of character is an inspiration for every player out there. The Englishman put in a solid display against West Ham, helping out in defense and also scoring in Chelsea's 5-1 victory.

Riccardo Calafiori (Arsenal)

Riccardo Calafiori has continued his attacking contributions for Arsenal yet again. After scoring the match-winning goal against Manchester United, he ended the game against Leeds with 2 assists. After what was a mixed debut season, the Italian is finally showing why Arsenal signed him.

Midfielders

Moises Caicedo (Chelsea)

Moises Caicedo continues to prove why he is one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League. He put up a dominating midfield performance not just with crucial tackles and interceptions, but also a goal in Chelsea's 5-1 thrashing of West Ham.

João Palhinha (Tottenham)

João Palhinha's return to the Premier League has been splendid so far. After a disappointing stint at Bayern, he is back to replicating his best-form which was evident at Fulham. The Portuguese defensive midfielder was immensely crucial in Tottenham's shocking 2-0 victory over Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.

Enzo Fernández (Chelsea)

Enzo Fernandez displayed his exceptional attacking abilities against West Ham, making brilliant forward runs and supplying stunning passes for his teammates. He managed to add a goal as well to what was a truly magnificent performance. The Argentine continues to shine for Chelsea.

Forwards

Jack Grealish (Everton)

Football fans got to see the real Jack Grealish in what was his first start for Everton. He yet again looked like that player who was a delight to watch and full of confidence, ending the game with 2 assists. Maybe this move to Everton could be the beginning of a revival.

Viktor Gyökeres (Arsenal)

The Real Viktor Gyökeres has finally arrived. After an underwhelming debut against Manchester United, Gyökeres put up a top performance against Leeds which was full of composure and classic strike traits. His brace against Leeds is undoubtedly the beginning of an epic goalscoring season.

João Pedro (Chelsea)

With each passing week, João Pedro continues to show both Chelsea and Premier League fans all over the world. He is undoubtedly the most in-form EPL player at the moment, adding another goal and 2 assists to his numbers this season. Simply sensational from the Brazilian.
