The return of Premier League football last week after the shortest of end-season breaks comes as a welcome relief to most fans across the globe who will be on the edge of their seats every week from now to catch a glimpse of their favourite teams and stars in action.

Along with the veterans gracing the pitch, some of the youngest players are catching the attention of the viewers now and then. Today we will be taking a look at some of the players who could become stars by the end of this season.


Bukayo Saka:

Bukayo Saka is one of Arsenal’s most exciting players at the minute. Only 20, he burst into the scene under Mikel Arteta last season. While making his debut as a left-winger, he’s also been used at left-back, left-midfield, attacking midfield and right-wing. At the pace he is improving, Arteta will have to find a defined role for the youngster. Saka was adept at creating chances for others, recording three assists in the Premier League. He was unstoppable in the Europa League, scoring twice with five assists in six appearances as one of the most impressive players in the competition.


Reece James:

The young right-back made 37 appearances in all competitions last season and finished it as the starter. With Cesar Azpilicueta getting older and playing lesser as a result, James is likely to be one of the few academy graduates to get regular game time this season. It’s expected that he will push on in his second full season at the club. He also got 2 goals and 4 assists in the season and made most out of his starts.


Mason Greenwood:

The Red Devils have a lot younger look to them nowadays, yet there is no looking past Mason Greenwood at the moment. The 18-year old made his first-team debut back in 2018-19, yet provided more noticeable performances in the first - team last season. He built up himself as a regular, post-lockdown in an energizing front three, and scored ten goals in the Premier League and 17 in all matches. Presently the bearer of the No 11 shirt, his advancement will be energizing to observe even amid the publicity.


Phil Foden:
