He has become one of Middlesbrough’s most important players as they push for promotion, currently sitting second in the Championship. The England youth international has made 32 league appearances this season, contributing four goals and four assists, underlining his growing influence in Boro’s midfield.

Our opinion on Manchester United potentially signing Hayden Hackney
There is absolutely no doubt that Hayden Hackney is a talented player with huge potential, and Man Utd need no add numbers in midfield as well, especially with the likes of Casemiro leaving after the end of the season. While Hackney would in no way be a Casemiro replacement, he is a great player that can add much added depth and youth to the side. It would be a great deal if United can get the player.
However, the other side to this is that United have been one of the worst Premier League clubs when it comes to developing young players into world-class talent. That is undoubtedly something Hackney and his agent should be worried about. With reports also claiming that other Premier League clubs are interested in the player, we personally think it would be better for the player to join another Premier League club for his development and then make a big move to a top European club in a year or 2.
