Will the Saudi Arabia league take over World Football with their Money?

The newest phenomenon in World Football is the Saudi Arabia league which has gained prominence since last year and they have decided to go all out from this year and they will try to make their league into the Top 5 Leagues in the world and they have the most important thing to make that happen which is money and they are willing to spend a lot of it to get the best players in the world.

The Saudi Arabia league is looking like it will take over World Football very soon and there is nothing anybody can do about it because the financial fair play does not apply to them since they are not from Europe and they can give the players any amount of money that they want and the players will accept.

So, let’s discuss whether the Saudi Arabia league will takeover World Football

Yes, It is looking like that way

As much as the fans want to say that money is not important and the players want to say that money is not important for them, the reality is that everyone wants money and they want a better life for themselves and their family and the amount of money that the Saudis are offering each top player is too difficult to ignore. Last year Cristiano Ronaldo accepted a bid to join Al Nassr last year for a contract worth $200 million per year and looking at him this year first Karim Benzema joined Al Ittihad for $215 million per year for 3 years which is almost similar to the contract that an NFL team has every year. And recently Ngolo Kante also accepted a bid of $100 million per year to join Karim Benzema in Al Ittihad.

However, there is one player that has broken this trend and the feeling is that he will be the only football player to turn down such a deal. Lionel Messi was offered $1.6 Billion for 3 years to play at Al Hilal and he turned it down to play for Inter Miami in the USA because his family wanted to go to the USA. The reality is that no other football player other than him would be able to say no and the release clauses that the clubs have for their players from Europe will no longer be safe because the clubs from Saudi Arabia will easily break that amount and then they will have to sell that player. And they are planning to spend $20 billion in the next 2 years to get the best football players in the world.

As more and more big players arrive to play in Saudi Arabia and they see the hospitality then more top players will be motivated to take that path and this transfer window is not yet over yet and the Saudi Arabia league will be the one to watch out for and especially Al Hilal now that they were not able to sign Lionel Messi so they will want to sign another top player from Europe and if they offer similar money to another player of his level then that player will accept it and then Al Hilal will be happy. Money talks and that is the reality and the Saudis have the most money in the world.
