Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been selected for Sweden's World Cup Qualifiers squad after a five-year absence. Sweden are set to play Georgia and Kosova in the Fifa World cup Qualifiers at the end of March.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic last played for his national team in the 2016 Euros. Sweden failed to win a single game in the tournament as they finished last in their group. Ibrahimovic played every single minute of the 3 games and did not score in the tournament despite being the Top Scorer in Ligue 1 in the previous season.

When Sweden qualified for the 2018 World cup there were rumours about a potential return to international duty for Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The striker himself expressed a desire to play in the World Cup but manager Janne Andersson ruled out the return. Sweden performed above expectations to qs they reached the Quarter Finals where they eventually lost to England.

The return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic is very good news for Sweden with the Euro's coming up later this year. Sweden will face a very tough group consisting of Spain, Slovakia and Poland. The experience and explosiveness of the Striker could be the key factor in the potential success of the Swedish team.
