It was a 51 lap Race and the track length is one I’d the longest in the whole year at 6.003 kms. Let’s get to the results now

Race

The race started at a fast pace as Sergio Perez took the lead over Charles Leclerc in the opening corner itself and Leclerc was playing catch-up. Carlos Sainz had to be taken out of the race and that was the first big blow to Ferrari in this race and this caused a virtual safety car which Leclerc hoped would allow him to catch up to the ATed Bull cars. At lap 15 in the race Max Verstappen took the lead from his Red Bull teammate Perez and from there Max did not look back and he led throughout the race with Sergio Perez at 2nd place. .On the other hand Daniel Ricardo had his luck turned when a virtual safety car was causes by Kevin Magnussen and he took the lead. This allowed Daniel Ricardo to finish a respectable 8th in the race.

The End of the Race

As if Ferrari and Charles Leclerc could not have had a bad day it turned worse when Charles had to himself pull out of the race when his engine gave out which allowed Max Verstappen to finish 1st and get 25 points and Sergio Perez finished second and he also got the fastest lap of the race and George Russell of Mercedes finished 3rd in the end. It was a thrilling race for the fans in Baku and Max Verstappen had a good lead in the drivers championship.
