Dutch F1 Grand Prix 2022 Results

Another week and another Formula 1 Race is in the books and we are here to talk about the results of the race that happened yesterday and let me tell you that it was one of the most chaotic races we have seen in recent times. One moment one driver was winning and then the next moment another driver was in pole position and for 72 Laps this went on and all the Dutch fans had come to see their hero Max Verstappen win and whether he was able to do that or not we will see below in the results.

Before we get into the results I have to say that writing about every Formula 1 Race result is a new learning experience for me because this is a sport that has come recently in my top viewing list and I am loving every second of it. This season is not as great as the last season because one driver has gone so far ahead of all the others. Let’s get to the race results for the Dutch Grand Prix.

Race Results

Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc get a clear start and they are 1 and 2 and Lewis Hamilton and Sergio Perez collide but all is well in Lap 1. At Lap 5 George Russell gets past Lando Norris for P5. It is Lap 8 and Max Verstappen is still in front but the 2 Ferrari drivers are pushing him, especially Charles Leclerc who is just seconds behind him. Lap 10 and Fernando Alonso moves into P12 and closer to the points. At Lap 15 Max Verstappen established a 3 second lead over Charles Leclerc and here comes the every race Ferrari disaster as Carlos Sainz has a 12 second pit stop which has derailed his race. At Lap 20 Max Verstappen pits for the first time and now Lewis Hamilton leads the race. Lap 27 and Max Verstappen gets past George Russell into P2 and it’s a master move.

At Lap 36 it is Lewis Hamilton vs Sergio Perez as Lewis tries to overtake Perez and it costs him 3 seconds but finally he does it at Lap 38. At Lap 45 Yuki Tsunoda pulled out the track complaining about the tyres. The virtual safety car is out at Lap 48 and Max has the advantage. It is Lap 56 and Lewis Hamilton is flying and is only 11 seconds behind Max Verstappen. Lap 59 and it is absolute chaos in the full safety car. Lap 61 and Max Verstappen gets past Lewis Hamilton to lead the race to the delight of the Dutch fans. Lap 66 and Charles Leclerc overtakes Lewis Hamilton and now is in the podium. The checkered flag is out and Max Verstappen wins the Dutch Grand Prix in front of his home fans.
