The new venue was a large ground paving around the IFEMA’s exhibition halls, and the new F1 racing track was designed around the IFEMA Madrid Exhibition Centre, called Madring Circuit.

The Madring is the only track which has the longest pit lane drive on the F1 calendar. The circuit is about 5.414 kilometres long, packing 22 corners over a 57-lap race.
