Though China managed two goals in the second quarter, they had no relief as the hosts added three more goals.

In the first minute of the second quarter, Akashdeep Singh scored a field goal.

In the 18th minute, E Wenhui opened the account for China through a field goal.

However, Varun Kumar made the scoreline 5-1 for the hosts in the next minute by successfully converting a penalty corner.

Gao Jiesheng scored the second goal for China as they only utilised a penalty corner in the 25th minute of the game.

The second half ended with a 6-2 scoreline after Varun successfully counted another penalty corner for the hosts in the last minute.

Though the hosts had some good chances to move the scoreline in their favour, the final quarter didn’t see a goal from any side.
