Hosts India Women have qualified for the Semi-finals of the 2026 Women's FIH World Cup Qualifiers (Tournament 2) after claiming a 4-1 win against Wales Women in their last group stage game on Wednesday (11 March). While they have booked the Semi-finals place by finishing on top of Pool B, they are one win away from securing their spot for the upcoming Women's FIH World Cup 2026, which Belgium and the Netherlands will host in August 2026.
Sakshi Rana provided an early 1-0 lead for India Women after netting in the seventh minute through a field goal.
Navneet Kaur scored goals in the 29th and 34th minutes, both from penalty corners, as India Women took a 3-0 lead. In the 39th minute, Betsan Thomas scored a field goal for Wales Women, as the scoreline read 3-1.
Navneet Kaur completed her hat-trick in the 55th minute, as this time, she successfully converted the penalty shootout.
Meanwhile, Scotland Women beat Uruguay Women by 3-1 to qualify for the Semis in the Qualifiers. On the other hand, England and Italy have advanced to the Semis from Pool A.
