India Women are desperate to create history in the Women’s FIH Hockey World Cup 2026, as they have to prove themselves in the hockey world. Belgium and the Netherlands are hosting the tournament from 15th August to 30th August 2026, while India Women’s complete squad for the tournament was announced on 17th July 2026.
India Women have qualified for the Women’s FIH Hockey World Cup 2026 after finishing as the runners-up in the Hyderabad (India) section of the 2026 Women’s FIH Hockey World Cup Qualifiers.

For the first time, India Women are participating in the Women’s FIH Hockey World Cup for the third straight edition. In the inaugural edition (1974), India Women reached the Semi-finals, where they finished in fourth place. It was the only time when India Women finished above seventh position in a World Cup edition.
