Indian weightlifters are desperate to end the long-standing Asian Games medal drought at the Asian Games 2026. All the weightlifting events have been scheduled from 23 to 29 September 2026, while Nagoya City Trade and Industry Centre at Nagoya (Aichi Prefecture, Japan) is set to host all the weightlifting events.
India has ultimately sent only four female weightlifters for the Asian Games 2026, while Rishikanta Singh Chanambam earlier withdrew his name from the previous five-member squad due to a knee injury.
