Analysis of the IPL 2022 so far and looking into the future

The IPL 2022 has started and the first three matches are in the books and tonight is the fourth match between the two new teams Lucknow and Gujarat and looking at how the first three matches have gone it looks like the chasing team will win the match but let’s see what happens. The three Matches have been of a high standard but there have been a few things that the fans have noticed that I will try to point out here in this article.

We have also seen three out of the four stadiums on display and the fourth one will also be shown soon with a match and it looks like all the pitches will be very good for batting. Detailed analysis will follow but if the first three matches are anything to go by then we are in for one heck of a tournament with power hitting at its very best and the bowlers finding new ways of getting batters out.

Unusual Wankhede Pitch

The first match of the Tata IPL 2022 was held at the world famous Wankhede stadium in Mumbai and it wax expected that the pitch will be a batting paradise and it will be a very high scoring one, but the match turned out to be the complete opposite and the bowlers were on top for the first innings till the time the dew was not there and the KKR bowlers were all over CSK and did not allow them to score any runs as Umesh Yadav was on the money and the spin twins of Varun and Sunil did not let the batters move and even while chasing KKR found it tough to score that freely so hopefully the pitches improve as the tournament goes along.

Experience matters

To those people who say that T20 is a young man’s game then they should look at all the three matches that happened in the last two days. It is full of experienced veterans proving that there is no substitute for years and years of playing this sport. In the First match it was Umesh Yadav with the ball first who after playing an IPL match after 2 years did not allow the CSK batters to score runs then the veteran Sunil Naraine just gave 15 runs in his 4 fours. However , it wax MS Dhoni who ran back the clock and showed that he was vintage Thala and then Ajinkya Rahane did the same. In the second match it was Kuldeep Yadav who came back very strongly with 3 wickets and Axar Patel who showed his experience of playing a lot of cricket over the years by taking Delhi home. In the third match it was Faf Du Plessis and Virat Kohli who showed that the grind is not for nothing as they smashed the Punjab Bowlers all over.

Looking ahead and the Young stars of the IPL

Now let’s look ahead to the next few matches of the IPL and the rest of the four teams will play each other in the coming 2 days and both these matches will be very good matches but Lucknow and Rajasthan look like the better two sides in the Matches. And the young stars of the IPL are shining as well like Shivam Mavi of KKR, Ishan Kishan of Mumbai Indians, Lalit Yadav of Delhi Capitals, Anuj Rawat of RCB, Odean Smith of Punjab Kings and many more that we will get to see from the other teams in the IPL so a lot of exciting times ahead for all the fans over the next two months. And lastly the batters will have a ball at the expense of the bowlers it seems unless something drastic happens which is good news for the fans who love seeing high scores.
