Top 5 Highest Bids in Day 2 of the IPL mega auction 2022

Like we discussed yesterday about the highest Bids in Day 1 of the IPL mega auction 2022, tonight we will talk about all the action on Day 2 as today was the day when all the sides completed their teams and there were a few expensive buys even with the teams having lesser purse which showed the strategy of these teams to keep the money for the players they wanted in their teams.

Unlike yesterday there were not many bids that went over the 10 crore mark today but still there were some buys that broke the bank and wecare here to talk about it. These players deserved these paydays as they have performed well over a period of time and these are utility players as well. So, let’s see who are the Top 5 Highest Bids for Day 2 of the auction.

1. Liam Livingstone (11.50 Crores):

It was expected that this special England player will fetch a lot of money from the IPL teams as he is not just an explosive batter but can bowl off spin as well as leg spin and is a gun fielder and he came in the start of Day 2 and Punjab Kings were determined to get him at any cost and they had the money to pay him that much and the other teams had to back our even though they wanted this player as well , a great buy even at this price.

2. Tim David (8.25 Crores):

This buy will not surprise a lot of people but the price at which he was brought by Mumbai Indians might surprise a fair few people but this is a very special player originally from Singapore but plays in Australia and he absolutely destroys the cricket ball and is performing extremely well at the PSL going on. He will be a great asset to the Mumbai team which is full of big hitters all the way through, a good bid to the future.

3. Jofra Archer (8 Crores):

Before this bid by the Mumbai Indians, the fans were confused as to why they were not bidding for any player but this bid gave the reason why because they wanted Jofra Archer to pair up with Jasprit Bumrah from the next edition of the IPL which will be a dream for the fans but a nightmare for the other teams so this is a bid keeping in mind that there might not be s mega auction again for quite some time so It can prove to be a handy investment.

4. Romario Shepherd (7.75 Crores):

Another but looking to the future by the Sunrisers Hyderabad this time and this player’s performances have been outstanding in the various leagues around the world and as a just reward for his incredible performance he has received this pay day and will bs looking to set the IPL on fire whenever he gets the opportunity and also repay the faith shown in him by the franchise.

5. Odean Smith (6 Crores):

Odean Smith was a name that was sure to get the teams bidding for him and that was exactly the case abs the teams bid for him aggressively but it was the Punjab Kings yet again who with their purse went all out for him and eventually got this electric West Indies all rounder and will look to groom him and get the best out of him in the years to come.
