We talked about the capped players in our previous articles but we should not forget our uncapped stars who have become Superstars and their lives have changed for the better in just one day. This is the magic of the IPL auction as it can change your life in a moment and all these players deserve every bit of this success as they have worked extremely hard to get here.

Some of these players have done extremely well in the previous editions of the IPL at low amounts and as a reward for their outstanding performances they have become crorepatis in just one day and it is very good to see all the teams invest in future talents. So, let’s see which are the uncapped players whose lives changed at the auction.

Avesh Khan (10 Crores):

No uncapped player was more deserving of this than this young speedster from Indore who was the find of the IPL from last year when he picked up 24 wickets for the Delhi Capitals and took them into the playoffs as well. He showed that he has raw pace and with it the ability to bowl slower balls as well and he will only get better as time goes so the Lucknow franchise did a great job by investing so much in a rare talent and they can groom him to be the next big star in Indian cricket for years to come. It was great to see him getting his just due.

Shahrukh Khan (9 Crores):

It was expected that this attacking finishing batter from Tamil Nadu will get a high bid in the auction as there is a lack of genuine Indian finishers and he can bowl decently as well so teams would go for him but even he would not have expected to get 9 Crores from the same team which released him , Punjab. The best thing was that Shahrukh Khan the owner was also going for Shahrukh Khan the player but KKR could not pursue after him for long so after an intense bidding war , Punjab Kings once again acquired the services of Shahrukh Khan.

Rahul Tewatia (9 Crores):

This is one uncapped player which the Gujarat Titans would feel they paid a little more than they should Have. They gave up with few performances in the past rather than current form but it is great news for Rahul Tewatia as he will have a great pay for years to come and he will party with his family and friends as he should. The only hope is that he repays the faith the Gujarat Titans showed in him when the IPL kicks off. Another Indian uncapped player getting the big bucks.

Rahul Tripathi (8.50 Crores):

There are few players that have given more happiness to the fans than this buy from the Sunrisers Hyderabad as they got Rahul Tripathi for a big amount and he deserves every amount of it as last year he played so well for the KKR team and took them in the final of the tournament so Sunrisers Hyderabad have got a great Indian batter who will play anywhere and be a total team man. KKR were sad to see him go but he has a new home and hopefully lots more opportunities.

Shivam Mavi (7.25 Crores):

Shivam Mavi was one of the best Indian bowlers of the last edition of the IPL and he has been with KKR for a number of years and it was no Surprise that KKR went aggressively for him from the start but even Shivam would not expected that his bid would go so high that he would match the salary of Pat Cummins in the same team and this shows how in demand the Indian players were during the auction. KKR would be hoping that Shivam Mavi gets better and wins a lot more matches for them and for India in the future.
