Arshdeep Singh was born on 5th February,1999. He is from Guna, Madhya Pradesh. He is a left hand fast bowler and a left hand batsman. His height is 183 cm.

In Punjab, it has become a trend that every teenager after their 12th goes to Canada, to pursue further education and then after settles there. Arshdeep was no exception, he also had to face the similar situation as his father was eager to send him to Canada like he did with his elder son. At that moment, nothing was going right for Arshdeep. His performance was not that good and because of that he was not able to get into the age level squad. Arshdeep was in a kind of dilemma between his career and his love, which was cricket. He was very passionate about this sport and he refused to give up this quickly. He somehow managed to convince his father that he will take a year more to try his luck at cricket, if he is not successful then he will go to Canada like his elder brother. He was fortunate enough that his father agreed to his proposal. His father also used to play cricket and now he is a retired officer of the Central Industrial Security Force. That year turned out to be a perfect one for Arshdeep. His consistent performance at the district level helped him get into the U-19 Punjab team. His performance there rewarded him with a place in the India U-19 World Cup squad in 2018. India won the title that year and he was part of that squad. Fortune started to turn in favor of Arshdeep as he bagged an IPL contract from the Kings XI Punjab. In the first two years, he did not get many chances because of the big names present in the squad. Then after he started to show his worth to the franchise. He recalled that the presence of Anil Kumble, Mohammad Shami and the Universe Boss Chris Gayle helped him with useful advice and motivated him as well. Now, he does not feel the pressure of bowling to big name players. During the lockdown, he used to train with his father in their small gym and when the restrictions were eased a little bit, he went to the camp organized by Yuvraj Singh for the Punjab players.
