We all love those moments when records are broken and players elevate to godlike stature. Their fans become worshipers, and the moments are set in stone. No matter the short span of the record but the moment lives on, telling the tales of a human who rose to snatch the throne of Gods. I am here to tell similar tales of players, who displayed a performance worthy of a King’s crown, who shattered records nobody thought could be created, to begin with. From the top scorers of the tournament to the top stoppers, the players have worked hard to achieve these milestones and the praises that travel alongside. With growing competitiveness, every year, the ferociousness of the players grows too. They work more, harder than ever to make sure that they are always battle-ready. In doing so, they push the game to its ultimate best and the fans to their craziest. They break and make new records all the time, setting new benchmarks with beautiful performances. Yes, I did use ‘beautiful’ to describe performances, because romantic love is what the people of India have for their games. The game of Kabaddi has seen many records take the hearts of the fans but in popular opinion and demand, here are a few, recently renewed.

1. Top Scorer

This category has seen many legends rise up and post daunting total all-time scores, but nobody has done it as these two have. Pardeep Narwal of Patna Pirates dubbed as the ‘dubki king’ and Rahul Chaudhary, the poster boy of the league, are the two top scorers. Rahul Chaudhary with 876 total points is at the top, with Pardeep Narwal at second with 865 total points. These two ‘Surmas’ are the only two players in the league to have cleared the 800 points mark. At number three is Deepak Niwas Hooda with 785 total points, with Ajay Thakur at fourth having a total of 753 points which completes the tally of the players with points above 700 mark.

2.Most Raid Points

The Dubki King takes the lead in this category with 858 raid points. As expected, Rahul Chaudhary is the second in command with 825 raid points over the course of his pro kabaddi career. The sensational point to note here is that Pardeep Narwal has played fewer seasons than Rahul Chaudhary. Ajay Thakur takes the third spot with 732 raid points, and Deepak Hooda stands at a comfortable fourth with 710 raid points.

3.Most Raid Points in a single match

The Dubki King again shows his mettle, by clenching 38 points in one match. Rahul Chaudhary secured 24 points and stands at the silver position on this plinth. A close number three is the young gun Rishank Devadiga from Mumbai with 23 points in a single match. Tied at the bronze position with Rishank is his ex-teammate Kashiling Adake.

4.Most Super 10s

Pardeep Narwal really makes a note of being consistent while being ferocious and risky. Another title to the man, with 44 super 10s so far in PKL, Pardeep Narwal. Rahul Chaudhary, who once held every raiding milestone, has lost his dominance in this category too. Holding 36 super 10s to his name, which is impressive in itself, Rahul earns himself the second position in this category too.

5.Most Tackle Points

To the delight as well as misfortune of the defenders Pardeep Narwal is primarily a raider, although he can tackle. Here somebody else holds the crown. Somebody who can stop even the mighty Narwal dead in his return, Manjeet Chillar. Manjeet Chillar is the only defender to reach the milestone of 300 tackle points. With  302 points, Manjeet sits comfortably on the throne and is trailed at number 2 by Ravinder Pahal with 263 points.

6.Most High 5’s

Manjeet  Chillar has this as the jewel of his crown with 21 high 5’s. The second rank is shared by two phenomenal defenders Ravinder Pahal and PO Surjeet Singh, both having 20 High 5’s each.

7.Super Tackles

Here you here a different name, showcasing his grit to snatch matches standing at the top with 23 tackle points in a single match, Sandeep Narwal.
