Triangle of Sadness, Megan Bayne, Marina Shafir and Mercedes Mone beat Jamie Hayter, Willow Nightingale, Harley Cameron, Kris Statlander, Timeless Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa in Women’s Blood and Guts Match

The first ever Women’s Blood and Guts Match lasted 47 minutes. This alone was a great reminder that the women’s division in AEW is getting better. The 5000 fans present at the arena were hot for the match from the start. Skye Blue was busted open at the start at the hands of Willow Nightingale who had a crimson mask throughout the match. The Triangle of Madness featuring Julia Hart, Skye Blue and Thekla dominated the match and the unity between these 3 women was the standout. Thekla entered the match with a belt around her boot. Harley Cameron had a barbed wire kendo stick. Mercedes Mone used an unique trick where she handed the belts that she has won to her partners to use it against their opponents. Mercedes Mone was disgusted that blood was spilt on her. Marina Shafir had her standout match and at one point she threw the Champion Kris Statlander on nails. Toni Storm strapped her hands in glass and she hit Megan Bayne. Harley Cameron was clever as she used the puppet CEO to punch Mercedes Mone with brass knuckles. Mina Shirakawa was integral to the finish of the match as Triangle of Madness had her in a submission and Toni Storm quit to save her friend Mina Shirakawa. This was a great first women’s blood and guts match and now this should be a yearly feature.
