AEW Forbidden Door 2025 Results

AEW Forbidden Door 2025 was the annual cross promotional AEW PPV that happens between AEW, NJPW and CMLL. This year the show was held in London in front of over 18,000 people. The arena was full and the fans were loud. There were a lot of matches and some matches were better than the others. The fans were loud for some wrestlers and quiet for the others. 


Let’s look at the Results for AEW Forbidden Door 2025 


Adam Copeland and Christian Cage beat Kip Sabian and Kill switch

The first match on the main show was the tag team match between the legendary tag team reuniting and two young talents in AEW. Adam Copeland has one of the best theme songs in wrestling and the fans in the UK were so loud that type speakers were not enough. Christian Cage was anxious to start the match against Kill switch. He and Adam took some time to fall together as a team again but they finally found their groove. KillSwitch used Kip Sabian as a weapon and he Powerbombed him on top of Adam. Adam Copeland speared KillSwitch out of the ring. The finish after 14 minutes arrived when Adam and Christian used a combination move to win the match. This was a very fun first match back for Adam and Christian Cage. 


Kyle Fletcher beat Hiromu Takahashi for AEW TNT Championship

Kyle Fletcher got the spotlight on himself and he made sure that he made a name for himself. Hiromu Takahashi clearly earned new fans after this performance. The match started slow but Hiromu Takahashi upped the pace and he was hitting Kyle Fletcher with strikes. Kyle Fletcher gave a beautiful Avalanche Back Suplex to his opponent. Kyle Fletcher hit his big boot but Hiromu kicked out at one. Hiromu Takahashi hit a brutal Liger Bomb on the floor. At the end of 15 minutes of great wrestling it was Kyle Fletcher who hit a brain buster to get the win. 


Mercedes Mone beat Alex Windsor, Bozilla and Persephone for AEW TBS Championship

This was the first women’s match of the night. Bozilla was a strong woman who was very tall and she was from Stardom. Alex Windsor was the hometown favourite. However Mercedes Mone had the best entrance as she had 8 Royal Guards holding her 8 belts. Bozilla was the standout as she was using her power to dominate the match. She took down Alex Windsor and Persephone. Bozilla gave a beautiful MoonSault to Persephone. Alex Windsor was cheered the loudest. There was a Superplex spot where Mercedes Mone got the worst effect. There was a cool spot where Alex Windsor applied a double Sharp shooter but Bozilla broke it up. After 16 minutes it was Mercedes Mone who got the win. 


Zack Sabre Jr beat Nigel McGuiness for IWGP World Championship

This was easily the most technically correct match on this Card. It was two of the best in the world. Nigel McGuiness had a cool entrance where he was being given tips by Johnny Saint. Having Bryan Danielson on commentary was one of the best decisions on this show. He was explaining the technical details perfectly. Zack Sabre Jr was showing technical prowess as he applied an armbar and a leg look at once. Nigel McGuiness was celebrating with the fans but he was aware and gave a big Lariat to Zack Sabre Jr. There was an uppercut battle which resulted in Zack Sabre Jr getting bloodied. This was 17 minutes of technical masterclass and Zack Sabre Jr won the match. 


Brodido beat The Hurt Syndicate and FTR for AEW Tag Team Championship

This was a match where the teams tried to have a good match. There were some very cool moments. Brody King was the star of the match and he showed his strength against Bobby Lashley. FTR and Brodido were the best performers in this match. It was looking like The Hurt Syndicate was going to win but Ricochet and GOA attacked The Hurt Syndicate and took them out of the match. Brody King gave Bobby Lashley a massive clothesline and threw him outside of the Ring. After 16 minutes Brodido won the match and the fans were happy. 


Kazuchika Okada beat Swerve Strickland for AEW Unified Championship

This was the time in the show when the big matches were going to take place. The first of them was for the Unified Championship. It was between Kazuchika Okada vs Swerve Strickland. Swerve Strickland had a bad knee going into this match and Okada took full advantage of it. Swerve was selling the knee injury. Swerve Strickland was in so much pain that when he did his first Suicide dive the pain was real. Okada hit a Brain buster on the steel steps on his opponent. Swerve Strickland hit an Olympic Slam which was responded to by Okada with a Tombstone. This was a very physical match for 17 minutes. Swerve Strickland was able to avoid getting hit with The Rainmaker and he hit Okada with the Swerve Stomp. To close the match Okada hit The Rainmaker and won the match. After the match Okada battered the knee of Swerve Strickland with a steel chair. Wardlow returned and he took out Prince Nona. Wardlow has joined the Don Callis Family which is the most dominant faction in AEW. 


Toni Storm beat Athena for AEW Women’s Championship

This was the best match on the night until this point. It was between two of the best in AEW and ROH. Toni Storm had a serious neck injury in this match. Bryan Danielson pointed out that Toni Storm was weaker due to her neck injury. Toni Storm gave a Storm Zero to Billie Starkz early. Athena gave such a strong Dropkick to Toni Storm that the LED Barricade was gone. Toni Storm hit Storm Zero on Athena but she kicked out. Toni Storm won the match but the fans wanted Athena to win as she might not get another opportunity at the title. Both women made the most of the 15 minutes and Toni Storm is the greatest in AEW. 


Adam Page beat MJF for AEW World Championship

The “Official” main event of the show was the World Championship Match between the two of the faces of the company. MJF was acting his best heel as he was trying to get Adam Page disqualified and win the title. This was a long 31 minute match. Adam Page was angry throughout the match and MJF was looking to use that. Adam Page got the biggest pop of the night. Adam Page was going to use a steel chair but the referee told him no. MJF hit Salt of the Earth but Adam Page kicked out. Adam Page was Busted Open when he was face first on a Steel chair. MJF hit a Tombstone but Adam Page got to the ring at a 9 count. MJF gave Adam Page the Diamond ring and spat in his face but Adam Page also spat in the face of MJF. This was a barn burner and Adam Page won the match. There is a scope for a rematch as MJF did not use his contract. 


Golden Lovers, Darby Allin, Hiroshi Tanshashi and Will Osperay beat The Death Riders, The Young Bucks and Gabe Kidd in Lights Out Steel Cage Match

This was the last match of the show. This was one of the wildest matches of the year for AEW. Bryan Danielson recused himself from commentary on this match. Will Osperay and The Young Bucks had awesome entrances. Will Osperay got a huge pop from the home fans. Will Osperay wanted to hit Jon Moxley with a Steel Chair around his neck but Gabe Kidd hit a PileDriver. Claudio Castagnoli threw Darby Allin out of the Ring into the Cage. Hiroshi Tanshashi was alone in the ring at one time and all the heels were attacking him with Jon Moxley hitting him with Paradigm shift. Will Osperay broke the pin on Hiroshi Tanshashi who suffered a Neutralizer and a BTE trigger. This was crazy. Jon Moxley was thrown into a table with barbed wire by Will Osperay. Will Osperay did a dive from the top of the Cage on top of everyone. Will Osperay and Kenny Omega hit the V Trigger and Styles Clash but they did not win the match. Darby Allin sent Wheeler Yuta through the table but Darby Allin was sent through four tables that were set up at the stage. After 33 minutes of insanity it was Matt Jackson that was alone in the ring. He suffered a Hidden Blade by Will Osperay followed by One Winged Angel by Kenny Omega. Hiroshi Tanshashi hit the High Fly Flow for the win. After the match Death Riders absolutely obliterated Will Osperay and now Will Osperay will be out for a while.
