Kenny Omega beat Zack Sabre Jr

This was already the best match of the weekend and it was the opening match of AEW Forbidden Door. These are two of the best professional wrestlers on the planet. They had a 27 minute banger. Kenny Omega tried to shift the style of the match as he went to the outside and started the match. Kenny Omega brutally slammed the head of Zack Sabre Jr on the announce table. Zack Sabre Jr took control of the match at the midpoint and he was delivering submission moves one after the other. Kenny Omega hit multiple V Triggers but it was not enough. Kenny Omega won the match by hitting one of his most brutal One Winged Angel Moves. This was professional wrestling at its best.


Jon Moxley beat Bandido for AEW Continental Championship

The first title match of the show was for the Continental Championship. This was an 18 minute match. The match started as both men showed their contrasting styles of Wrestling. Then Jon Moxley delivered a devastating Piledriver to his opponent on the steel steps. This busted open Bandido as blood was flowing through his mask. This severely improved the challenger as Jon Moxley evaded the 21 Plex move by Bandido. Jon Moxley passed out his challenger and retained the title.


Shota Umino beat PAC for IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship

This was the NJPW Match that took place at Forbidden Door. This was also an 18 minute match. This match started in the 7th gear as both men were going for heavy blows. PAC is one of the best high flyers in the business and he used that to dominate the match and hit German Suplexes on the champion. Shota Umino delivered the Death Rider on the floor to PAC which changed the momentum of the match. There were near falls by both men. Shota Umino first hit the Paradigm Shift followed by his finisher Second Chapter to retain the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship.


Thekla beat Starlight Kid for AEW Women’s Championship

This was the first of the 2 women’s matches that took place in the show. Thekla was in a war for 19 minutes. The match started and Thekla asserted dominance as she was hitting Starlight Kid with strikes inside and outside the ring. Thekla then confronted the president of Stardom and that was a mistake. Starlight Kid had a great comeback as she used her aerial moves while giving Dropkicks and Crossbody. Both women attempted to win the match by pinning each other but to no avail. Thekla in the end hit her finisher to win the match and retain the title.


Adam Copeland and Christian Cage beat The Dogs for AEW Tag Team Championship

The tag team titles were on the line and it was a 17 minute high intensity match for the titles. The Dogs took advantage and they isolated Christian Cage and they kept attacking his injured forearm. The Dogs attempted to crush the arm of Cage under the steel chair but Adam Copeland made the save. He got the hot tag and Adam Copeland went crazy as he hit Edgeomatic, the DDT and almost won the match. All four men hit each other with their signature moves but the experience of Adam Copeland and Christian Cage came through as they hit their finisher and won the match.


Mercedes Mone beat Maya World in Women’s Owen Hart Cup Final

It would not be an exaggeration to say that this 25 minutes instant classic is the best women’s match of 2026 and one of the greatest women’s Matches of all time. Tony Khan let these two women cook greatness. Maya World stunned Mercedes Mone as she tried multiple pinning combinations in the first few minutes not allowing Mone to rest. Mercedes Mone took the fight to the outside and she delivered 2 Meteoras which changed the match in her favour. Maya World kept kicking out everything Mercedes Mone threw at her despite her ribs being injured. Mercedes Mone ultimately put in her submission and Maya World had to tap out. Mercedes Mone will challenge Thekla for the AEW Women’s title at All In.


Team Briscoe beat Team DCMJF in Steel Cage Match

The first thing that can be noticed in this match is that the steel Cage used in this match is a round silver steel Cage. This is great as it instantly differentiates it from the WWE Steel Cage. This was 31 minutes of pure insanity. Weapons were introduced immediately in the match and it was a bloodbath. Bodies were being thrown into the steel wall all the time. Andrade El Idolo had a big moment in this match as he turned babyface as he betrayed his heel partners. Andrade hit the AEW World Champion MJF with a back elbow. He then showed a shirt that was insulting to the champion. Mark Briscoe took advantage of this chaos and pinned MJF. He will now face MJF for the AEW World Championship.


Will Osperay beat Swerve Strickland in Men’s Owen Hart Cup Final

This was the best AEW Match all year and one of the Top 3 best wrestling Matches of the whole year. This was 36 minutes of two of the best professional wrestlers going at it. This was a bloody mess. Both Will Osperay and Swerve Strickland hit each other with every move they had. They hit each other with Suplexes and strikes that shocked the fans. Will Ospreay went to the top rope and then he delivered a Crossbody to Swerve Strickland to the floor. Both men had blood pouring from their faces. In the end of this instant classic, Will hit the Storm Breaker to win this match. He will now go to All In to compete for the AEW World Championship.
