Adam Page
The man that MJF beat to win the title is Adam Page. The former champion has not forgotten this and ever since both men have been giving at each other mentally and physically. There will come a point where they will have a match at a PPV for the title. It could happen as soon as the AEW Revolution in March. Adam Page and MJF have fantastic in ring chemistry and whenever the match happens it will be one of the best matches of the year. The ultimate babyface against the ultimate heel.
Swerve Strickland
The former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland is always going to be in the title picture. He is one of the most popular wrestlers on the roster. He is currently in a feud against Kenny Omega with both men trying to ensure that they are the next in line for a shot. This feud shows that the main event scene in AEW is stronger than ever and there are lots of wrestlers who can challenge MJF for the title. Swerve Strickland has transitioned from a heel to one of the best babyfaces. That is a skill that not a lot of people have.
Kenny Omega
One of the multiple time World Champions in AEW history Kenny Omega has been a founding member for the company. He was a part of the first All In show way back in 2018. Kenny Omega has been the best wrestler on the planet for almost 15 years. He is back full time in AEW and he is looking to become AEW World Champion again. He is currently in a feud against Swerve Strickland. Both men are babyfaces and the crowd loves them both. The winner of this feud will be the next in line but both men will have title matches.
Andrade El Idolo
The wrestler that has had a whirlwind last couple of months in professional wrestling. He was released from WWE because he failed drug tests. He then went to AEW but was let go because AEW wasn’t able to sign him due to the non compete clause that was supposed to be there. Then he went to NJPW and finally he was re-signed to AEW. Now that he is fully in the AEW umbrella he has secured himself a number 1 contender match against Adam Page at Grand Slam Australia. He will be the number 1 contender if he wins that match. Andrade can do big things in AEW.
