The main event of AAA Noche De Los Grandes was the Mask vs Mask Match between Original El Grande Americano vs El Grande Americano. The build to this match has been tremendous as both men have had opposite crowd reactions in Mexico. The Original El Grande Americano is the most hated wrestler in AAA and the new El Grande Americano is the biggest babyface in Mexico. He is not even a true Spanish wrestler but he has formed a deep connection with the Mexican people. Andrea Bazarte is his love and Original El Grande Americano made sure that she was fired from AAA. The wait for this match was through the roof.
AAA Noche De Los Grandes was streamed on the WWE YouTube channel and there were more than 300,000 people watching live at the same time. The entrances were cinema as Original El Grande Americano got a chorus of boos and the El Grande Americano was welcomed like a hero. This was a 35 minutes all time classic. Both wrestlers knew the enormity of the moment and they brought the best version of themselves. This was a No DQ Match and tables were in use in the first 5 minutes of the match. Original El Grande Americano was using his superior wrestling abilities and he was applying the ankle lock but the fans in the arena would not let their hero tap out. El Grande Americano gave a beautiful Suicide Dive to Original. This match was getting better but then The Creed Brothers came out and took out El Grande Americano. The new El Grande Americano had backup too as Los Americanos came out.
They were hitting each other with kendo sticks, chairs, tables and they both got bloodied but neither was giving up. Then Andrea Bazarte came out with a ticket and that ticked off El Grande Americano and finally after 35 minutes Original El Grande Americano was vanquished. This was the best professional wrestling match of the year and the atmosphere during the match was special. After the match Original El Grande Americano took off his mask and it was revealed to be Chad Gable. He said that El Grande Americano is the one true Americano and the face of Lucha Libre. Andrea Bazarte and El Grande Americano shared a kiss and the show was over. The Undertaker booked a perfect main event that will be remembered forever. And now at TripleMania it is time for El Grande Americano to win the AAA Mega Championship.
