AEW All In was one of the most newsworthy wrestling PPVs of the year. There were not only multiple title changes, but one of the greatest tag teams of all time debuted in AEW. The New Evil debuted in AEW, as Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed immediately made an impact upon debuting in the company. The fact that both Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed left WWE was a shocker to begin with. WWE’s loss is a huge gain for AEW.
Let’s talk about the Debut of The New Evil in AEW
The New Evils are all elite
AEW All In saw the debut of Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed in AEW. It was a few months ago that the news was reported that Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods will leave WWE after 16 years with the company. WWE under TKO asked them to take a 50% pay cut, and that was not acceptable to them. They left WWE, and the fans were shocked that people who were considered lifers in WWE would debut in the competition. Wrestlers inside WWE were shocked, and they also became wary of their status in WWE. They were expected to debut at AEW All In, but the impact they made was immediate.
They debuted in the Roulette Match for the AEW Trios titles. There were 7 trios that took part in this match, and the last trip was the wild Card. Swerve Strickland came out, and then he brought out The New Evil, as both Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed came out to a big reaction. They won the AEW Trios titles on their first night in AEW, and that was a record for any debuting AEW superstars in the last 7 Years that AEW has been a wrestling promotion. Pairing them with Swerve Strickland was a genius move because Swerve Strickland can explain how things work in AEW. Seeing three extremely talented black wrestlers forming an unbeatable trio is special.
The Debut night for The New Evil was not over, as after the incredible tag team titles match between Adam Copeland and Christian Cage vs. The Young Bucks, they came out to stake their claim to be the AEW Tag Team Champions as well. Not only them but also Motor City Machine Guns and FTR came out to confront the champions. It looks like The New Evil will work two divisions. AEW has got a lot of momentum following All In, and it is up to Tony Khan to continue it all the way to AEW All Out on 26th September 2026.
