One of the latest Championship titles to be introduced in AEW is the International Championship. This is their version of the Intercontinental Championship. Since WWE holds the rights to the name therefore AEW had to make this title. This title was introduced on 26th June 2022. There have only been 10 Reigns with this championship.
Let’s look at the List of the AEW International Champions
Pac
Pac who was also known by Neville in WWE was the first ever AEW International Champion in the history of the company. He won the championship on 26th June 2022 at the AEW x NIPW Forbidden Door show. He was the International Champion for 108 days.
Orange Cassidy
The only 2 time International Champion for AEW and he has had the 2 longest titles with the title. He won his first International Championship on 12th October 2022 and he held the title for 326 days. Orange Cassidy was a great champion and he grew as a wrestler during this time. He won his second International Championship on 10th October 2023 at Dynamite Title 2023 and held the title for 145 days.
Jon Moxley
Jon Moxley is one of the rare AEW Superstars to win multiple titles in AEW. He won the AEW World Championship and he has been the International Champion as well. He won the title on 3rd September 2023 at All Out. He only held the title for 17 days.
Ray Fenix
Ray Fenix also won the AEW International Championship. He was the champion for 20 days and he won the championship on 20th September 2023. He lost it to the current champion Orange Cassidy. Ray Fenix will win a lot more titles in the company because Tony Khan likes him.
Roderick Strong
Roderick Strong won the title on 3rd March, 2024 in the AEW Revolution 2024 defeating Ray Fenix. He held the reign for 84 days.
Will Ospreay
Will Ospreay became the AEW International Champion for the first time on 26th May, 2024 in AEW Double or nothing by defeating Roderick Strong. He held the title for 52 days in his first reign. His 2nd reign started from 25th August, 2024 in AEW All in and held the title for 48 days in his 2nd reign.
MJF
MJF became the AEW International Champion on 17th July, 2024 in AEW Dynamite 250. His reign lasted for 39 days only. During his reign, he unofficially rebranded the title as AEW American Championship.
Konusuke Takeshita
Konusuke Takeshita defeated Will Ospreay on 12th October, 2024 to become the AEW international champion. He is currently holding the title. His reign has already crossed 110 days.
