In the women’s 10 metre air pistol individual event at the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou (China), India won the top two medals as Palak Gulia claimed the gold medal and Esha Singh secured the silver medal. Meanwhile, in the team event, the duo along with Divya Thadigol Subbaraju clinched another silver medal.
Asian Games 2023: Women’s 10 metre Air Pistol Team Event (Shooting) – India won the silver medal
On Friday (September 29) at the 19th Asian Games, India secured all three medals in the women’s 10 metre air pistol events. At first, Palak Gulia, Esha Singh, and Divya Thadigol Subbaraju claimed the silver medal in the team event.
While the gold medalist China set up a new Asian Games record with 1736 points (66x), Indian shooters' combined score was 1731 points (50x). Chinese Taipei was the bronze medalist in that team event, with a total score of 1723 points (53x).
Talking about the individual performances in that team event, Esha scored 579 points (17x), Palak scored 577 points (23x) and Divya scored 575 points (10x).

While Palak and Esha both qualified for the individual final event, they won the top two medals, respectively.
With a score of 242.1, Palak Gulia broke the previous Asian Games record (240.3 by Chinese Wang Qian) and won the gold medal. Esha Singh finished in the second position with 239.7 points to clinch the silver medal. Kishmala Talat secured Pakistan’s first medal at the Asian Games 2023 by winning the bronze medal with a score of 218.2 points.

At the Asian Games 2023, Esha Singh celebrated with four medals. Apart from silver medals in the women’s 10 metre air pistol team and individual events, she was also a member of the gold medal-winning women’s 25m air pistol team and clinched another silver medal in the women’s 25m air pistol individual event.
