India Women lift the inaugural Women’s Kho Kho World Cup trophy after comfortably defeating Nepal by 78-40.
On Sunday, India Women faced Nepal Women in the Final of the Women’s Kho Kho World Cup 2025. The hosts started the Final in great fashion, with a lead of 34-0, which guided them to a comfortable victory, lifting the trophy as unbeaten champions.
Both India and Nepal were unbeaten in the tournament before the Final as both won all their matches in the tournament.
In Group A, India Women thrashed South Korea, Iran, and Malaysia, scoring 100 or more in each match. In the quarterfinal and the semifinal, India dominated against Bangladesh and South Africa before winning the title and gold medals after beating Nepal in the Final.
On the other hand, Nepal Women won the Group C matches against Bhutan, Germany, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh before thrashing Iran and Uganda in the quarterfinal and semifinal, respectively. Ultimately, Nepal lost the Final against the hosts India to finish as the runners-up and silver medal winners.
