The couple had a registered marriage on Thursday morning, 23 Nov. The first photos of actor Sagarika and cricketer Zaheer is also out and we are happy to see them together. Anjana Sharma, the Head of Business and Brand marketing for Zaheer Khan’s Prosport Fitness Studio, shared the photos of this newlywed couple on Instagram.
A source earlier told a leading daily, the inside details of the couple’s wedding.
“It’s an intimate, homely affair. Other than their family members, Zaheer’s close cricketer friends like Yuvraj Singh, Ashish Nehra and Ajit Agarkar are also expected to be present. After the marriage, there will be a cocktail party at a five star hotel in the evening. The Mehendi ceremony will take place on Sunday, followed by a grand reception on Monday evening.”
The couple, who had announced their engagement on social media and officially exchanged rings at a grand ceremony held in April earlier this year, tied the knot through a court marriage on November 23. And while the marriage was a rather intimate affair, the couple maintained a high style quotient on their big day.
And while it was difficult to get our eyes off the stunning beauty Sagarika, Zaheer Khan looked desi yet chic in a soft pink self printed kurta. Zaheer wore a white sherwani while Sagarika Ghatge wore a beautiful maroon traditional attire and a single heavy necklace. Her make-up was also a low key affair and we are so much in love with this set up!
This Bollywood-meets-cricket couple are all set to begin their journey together. Sagarika’s friend and Chak De India co-star Vidya Malvade on Wednesday shared the couple’s wedding card on her Instagram story. Vidya also shared a picture of Sagarika preparing for the ceremonies. The Bollywood actor is all smiles and she is decked with jewellery of all sorts in the photo.
The wedding reception is slated to take place in the Taj Mahal Palace & Tower in Mumbai on 27 November.
The couple got engaged in May this year and had made appearances together in Yuvraj Singh-Hazel Keech wedding.
