While Chris Jordan got four wickets (4/10), Adil Rashid won the Player of the Match award for his bowling figures of 4-0-13-2. In chasing, captain Jos Buttler played a smashing knock of 83 not out off 38 balls with six fours and seven sixes.

Stuart Clarke’s brilliant bowling performance, by taking four wickets (4/20), dismantled Sri Lanka at the score of 101 in 20 overs, and Mathew Hayden's quick fifty helped Australia to reach the Semis. Openers Justin Mosca and Anthony Mosca, who are also brothers, comfortably chased down the target. While Anthony scored 62 not out off 32 balls (three fours and six sixes), Justin scored 60 not out off 44 balls (five fours and three sixes). Italian leggie Crishan Kalugamage won the Player of the Match award for his bowling figures of 4-0-18-3.

South Africa’s ten-wicket win against Zimbabwe was the second 10-wicket victory in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup history. South Africa bundled up Zimbabwe on the score of 93 with the help of Jacques Kallis' spell of 4/15. South Africa chased the total in 12.4 overs without losing any wickets.
