1) Sri Lanka: 260/6

The seventh match of the inaugural T20 World Cup version saw Sri Lanka posting an overwhelming 260-run total in their 20 overs against Kenya. Amazing batsman Sanath Jayasuriya gave Sri Lanka a lightning quick start as Sri Lanka crossed the 100 run-mark in a fair 10 overs.

The Southpaw struck a brilliant 44-ball 88 runs innings, whereas captain Mahela Jayawardene as well played a commendable 27-ball 65 run thump. Getting to 260-mark looked inconceivable at one stage until Jehan Mubarak came and stole the show with his hostile hitting within the last overs.

4) India: 218/4

The 21st match of the 2007 edition of the T20 World Cup will always be remembered for Yuvraj Singh’s six sixes in an over to Stuart Broad, which helped India reach 218 runs in 20 overs. He struck 58 runs off just 16 balls. The foundation was set by the openers Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag, putting up a 136-run partnership for the opening wicket. England, in reply, scored 200 as India won that game by 18 runs.


5) South Africa: 211/8

The team South Africa also has the fifth-highest total set by a group within the T20 World Cup. In the year 2009 of the T20 World Cup, South Africa went all weapons bursting to score 211 runs in 20 overs against Scotland. With the help of AB Devilliers' 79 runs knock in just 34 deliveries which include 5 fours and six mammoth sixes. The latter, in answer, were bundled out for just 81 runs, giving South Africa a straightforward 130-run triumph.
