T20 World Cup 2022 Winner : England


In the 2022 T20 World Cup, England was crowned as champions for the second time. Their campaign started with a shock when they lost against Ireland in a Super 12 match but later they won crucial matches against New Zealand and Sri Lanka and reached semifinals. In the Semifinals, England's 10-wicket victory over India in the semifinal was a particularly dominant performance. In the finals, England emerged victorious against Pakistan by 5 wickets. Sam Curran was awarded the player of the match in the final.


T20 World Cup 2021 Winner : Australia

Australia’s journey to the finals wasn’t a cakewalk. They lost their opening match to England but came back strong, winning all their remaining matches including a convincing win against Pakistan in the semi-finals.The final match between Australia and New Zealand was played on November 14, 2024 in Dubai International Cricket Stadium. While Mitchell Marsh was the hero of the final, David Warner's consistent batting throughout the tournament earned him the Player of the Tournament award.


T20 World Cup 2016 Winner: West Indies


West Indies got to be the first group to win the T20 World Cup twice with their triumph within the 2016 version. They crushed India within the second semi-final whereas England won against New Zealand by 7 wickets within the first semi-final. In the end, the English side posted a total of 155/9 with the assistance of a 54-run thump from Joe Root. T20 World Cup Winner 2012: West Indies


The 2012 edition of the T20 World Cup brought back some glory for the West Indies team after a long time. In the first semi-final of this tournament, Sri Lanka demolished Pakistan to register a victory by 16 runs. While in the second semi-final, West Indies won by a big margin of 74 runs against Australia.


While batting first in the final, West Indies were in serious trouble but Marlon Samuels held one end to power them to a respectable total of 137/6. He smashed 78 runs off 56 balls with the help of 3 fours and 6 sixes. The Sri Lankan team could not pose a challenge in the final and got dismissed for 101 runs losing the match by 36 runs.


T20 World Cup 2010 Winner: England



The 2010 version of the T20 World Cup was the first-ever ICC trophy win for England’s men’s group. Within the semi-final 1, England won against Sri Lanka by 7 wickets with 24 balls remaining. They met Australia within the final who traveled over the defending champions Pakistan by 3 wickets within the second semi-final. Batting first, Australia managed to score 147/6 with a few late blows from David Hussey and Cameron White. England misplaced their first wicket early within the chase but Craig Kieswetter played a superb thump of 63 runs to guarantee a win for his side. England won by 7 wickets in 17 overs to lift the title. 


T20 World Cup 2009 Winner : Pakistan
