The Australian Open 2026 was a good tournament that saw one of the best days of tennis ever in the Men’s Singles Semifinals Day. The first Grand Slam of the year is over and for the next 4 months there will be no Grand Slam Tennis. The winners of the Australian Open were both predictable and surprising.
Australian Open 2026 Results
Men’s Singles
The Men’s Singles was the most predictable outcome of them all. There were only 4 players that were at their best. The 2 semi finals were the best tennis played at this tournament. It was Carlos Alcaraz vs Novak Djokovic in the Final. The match was 4 sets. Novak Djokovic won the first set by 6-2. However after that it was all Carlos Alcaraz. He showed why he is the best tennis player in the world. He absolutely dominated the next 2 sets and win them by 6-2 and 6-3. The fourth set was the most competitive of them all. Novak Djokovic played his best tennis but it was not enough as Carlos Alcaraz won it by 7-5 thus winning his first Australian Open and completing the Career Grand Slam at only 22.
Women’s Singles
As always the Women’s Singles tournament was the most open of all. There was one player Aryna Sabalenka and there were the rest. Aryna Sabalenka won her semi final by 6-2 and 6-3. Her opponent Elena Rybakina won her semi final by 6-3 and 7-6. It was expected that Aryna Sabalenka would win the Australian Open but Elena Rybakina played the match of her life. She won 6-4, 4-6 and 6-4. Elena Rybakina made history and this would give her momentum for the rest of the year.
Men’s Doubles
The Men’s Doubles tournament was also a competitive one. The two teams facing in the Final were Jason Kubler and Marc Polmans and they were facing Christian Harrison and Neal Skupski. Christian Harrison and Neal Skupski won the Australian Open after they won the Final in 2 sets by 7-6 and 6-4 in 2 competitive sets.
Women’s Doubles
The Women’s Doubles tournament was also a competitive 2 weeks of Tennis at the highest level. The final was between Anna Danilina and Aleksandra Krunic vs Zhang Shuai and Elise Mertens. The team of Zhang Shuai and Elise Mertens won the Australian Open Women’s Doubles title by winning the final by 7-6 and 6-4.
