Kane Williamson Most Test Double-Centuries For New Zealand

New Zealand star Kane Williamson scored his fifth Test double-century in the ongoing historic Karachi Test against the hosts Pakistan. With this incredible knock, Williamson moved to the top of the list of most Test double-centuries for New Zealand.

After winning the toss in this historic Karachi Test, Pakistan scored 438 runs in their first innings despite their initial trouble. Apart from the centuries of the skipper Babar Azam (161) and Agha Salman (103), the wicketkeeper-batter Sarfaraz Ahmed scored 86 runs.

In reply, the visitors New Zealand got a strong start as the openers Tom Latham and Devon Conway set up a 183-run opening partnership. While Conway (92) missed his century for just eight runs, Latham scored 113 runs.

Kane Williamson recorded his fifth Test double-century: 200 not out off 395 balls

Former New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson then took charge of that innings. The right-handed batter mostly looked rock solid in that innings. He scored 200 not out off 395 balls (21 fours and only six) before Blackcaps declared their first innings on 612/9, with a lead of 174 runs.

Surpassing the former New Zealand cricketer Brendon McCullum, who recorded four Test double-centuries, Williamson now becomes the most Test double-centurion for New Zealand.
