Kane Williamson - (7115 runs 83 tests 54.32 average), 24 centuries, 32 half-centuries and four double hundreds (only Brendon MucCullum has four double hundreds). Kane Williamson has enter the club of 7000 test runs as the fastest from his country and become the third highest number of run-getter for blackcaps after Ross Taylor (7379*) and Stephen Fleming (7172) in their history. Kane Williamson has scored 1172 test runs in one calendar year in 2015 at an average of 90.15 the most by any New Zealand player and scored 2692 runs in the same year across the formats. The New Zealand captain has entered the club of 7000 test runs during the second test match against Pakistan at Christchurch. The Visitors (Pakistan) were trailing by 1-0 in the series and were invited to bat first in the second game of the series by hosts (New Zealand). With only contribution from Azhar Ali (93) Pakistan has managed to score 297 runs in the first innings before the end of play on day one.

 

In reply, New Zealand at one stage 72/3 looked in trouble before Kane Williamson and Henry Nicholls added on 369 runs for the 4th wicket to completely take away the game from the visitors (Pakistan). This stand partnership is highest for New Zealand in their history for the 4th wicket. New Zealand has declared their first innings at the score of 659 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Kane Williamson (238), Henry Nicholls (157) and Daryl Mitchell remained unbeaten (102 runs off 112 balls). With 362 runs in the first innings, Pakistan started the second Innings and they have lost their opener Shan Masood at the score of 3/1 before the end of play of day three. Pakistan is still trailing by 354 runs and are 8/1 with two more days to go in the test match.
