Ravichandran Ashwin Becomes 1st Indian Bowler To Take 100 Test Wickets Against England

During the first innings of the 2024 Ranchi Test, Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin became the first Indian bowler to record 100 Test wickets against England.

In the previous Test match at Rajkot, Ravichandran Ashwin completed 500 Test wickets and became the second Indian bowler (after Anil Kumble) to complete 500 Test wickets.

The Ranchi Test is the fourth game of the five-match Test series between the hosts India and the visitors England. Before this Test match, the home team India is leading the series by 2-1.

Ravichandran Ashwin completed 100 Test wickets against England

During the first innings of the Ranchi Test, Ravichandran Ashwin took his first wicket of the match by dismissing dangerous-looking Jonny Bairstow. With that important breakthrough, Ashwin reached another milestone in his Test career by completing his 100 Test wickets against England.
