Here is the list of the top 10 Pole-vault performances from women in Olympic history:


1. Yelena Isinbaeva:


Undoubtedly the best Pole-vault athlete in history, Yelena Isinbaeva is considered as an all time Olympic legend. She has performed and made amazing moments in the Olympics from 2004 onwards.  Still the world record for the highest jump in the event is occupied by Isinbaeva. In the Beijing Olympics of 2008 she jumped 5.05 meters in her final attempt making her the Olympic champion as well as the world record holder.

 

2. Yelena Isinbaeva:


The second best performance in the Olympic Pole-vault is also from Isinbaeva. This Russian athlete in the Beijing Olympics of 2008 was in the prime form. She jumped 4.95 meters in her attempt making sure that she stands on the podium. Still this is recorded as the second best Pole-vault jump in Olympic history.

 

3. Yelena Isinbaeva:

The third best jump in the Olympics is also recorded in the name of Isinbaeva. This performance was in the Athens Olympics of 2004 where she bagged the gold medal. She jumped a height of 4.91 meters which is the third best jump till date in the Olympics.

 

4. Yelena Isinbaeva:


In the second attempt of Athens Olympics 2004, Isinbaeva jumped a distance of 4.85 meters. This jump gave her a great hand over her opponents and made sure that she bags the gold medal. This performance is the fourth best Pole-vault jump in the Olympics till date.

 

5. Yelena Isinbaeva:


The list of highest Pole-vault jumps have the name of Isinbaeva the most times as she is one of the greatest Pole-vault athletes the world has ever seen. In the Beijing Olympics of 2008, she jumped a distance of 4.85 meters which is still the fifth best jump in history.

 

6. Katerina Stefanidi:


Katherina Stefanidi is a Greek Pole-vault athlete that holds the sixth position in this list. In the Rio Olympics of 2016, Ktherina Stefanidi won the gold medal for women’s Pole-vault. With that gold medal winning performance she also wrote her name with the 6th highest jump in Olympic history. She jumped a distance of 4.85 meters in the Rio Olympics.


7. Sandy Morris:


Sandy Morris is an American Pole-vault athlete who is the current world champion in pole-vault. She is in the 7th position of this list with a distance  jumped of 4.85 meters in the 2016 Rio Olympics. She is considered as the greatest American Pole-vault athlete of all time.

 

8. Yelena Isinbaeva:


Again Isinbaeva has her name in this list. The 8th best Olympic pole-vault performance in history. It was in the 2004 Athens Olympics that she crossed the height of 4.80 meters which is still the 8th best jump in history.
