WWE Superstars are always evolving whilst portraying their characters on TV. Sometimes this means that they are forced to change up their look in order to keep things fresh.

Evolving is a natural process in the wrestling business and sometimes this includes a physical change as well as a character or gimmick upgrade. Often this can include a complete overhaul when a superstar is repackaged and then re-debuts under a different name with a fresh new look.

In recent months, several current WWE Superstars have changed up their look in order to move forward in the company. The following list looks at just five of these stars, and the recent process of change that they have been through.

1. Current WWE Superstar Mandy Rose

Mandy Rose has had the biggest change of any WWE Superstar in recent months. From pushing for a Tag Team Championship feud on RAW, Rose has now become the NXT Women's Champion.

Just a few short months ago, Rose was one of several blonde stars on the main roster pushing for TV time over on the red brand. She has since been sent back to NXT where she was able to debut a new look, a new attitude, and a passion that has taken her all the way to the NXT Women's Championship.

For the first time in her WWE career, Rose is a brunette and she is holding a piece of gold. It appears that this radical change of image has allowed the star to make a return to her roots and become a success as the leader of Toxic Attraction.

2. Current WWE Superstar Karrion Kross

Karrion Kross was recently promoted to WWE's main roster and the former NXT Champion has struggled to find his place. It appears that the main roster creative team is pushing to make Kross a big name on RAW, but are struggling to fit him into the mold on the red brand.

Kross has already gone through several changes, including now being a solo superstar since he is no longer joined by Scarlett. Kross is almost unrecognizable since he has grown his hair out and is wearing a suit.

It's unclear if this new look could be part of WWE's new idea for him on the main roster, but it doesn't seem to have the same intensity as his former character if that was the look that the company was originally going for.

3. Current WWE Superstar Otis

When Otis made his debut in WWE, he was seen as one half of Heavy Machinery alongside Tucker.

Together the two men portrayed a hard-working duo who would dominate based on their size. Otis had long hair and a beard thought-out before he later changed up his look slightly when he began a romantic angle with Mandy Rose. After Rose moved over to RAW, Otis was forced to go it alone and in recent months he has become a member of The Alpha Academy alongside Chad Gable.

4. Current WWE Superstar Jinder Mahal

Jinder Mahal is a former WWE Champion. Since his historic title reign back in 2017, Mahal has struggled with several injuries that have kept him away from WWE TV. After a recurring knee injury kept him away for more than a year, Mahal recently made his return to the company and was sporting a new look.

The Indian star has always been known to have long black hair when he's wrestling, but the former World Champion has recently unveiled a much shorter look. When Mahal returned to WWE earlier in the year alongside two new stablemates named Shanky and Veer, he began wrestling with no hair for the first time in his career.

5. Current WWE Superstar Zelina Vega

Zelina Vega returned to WWE ahead of this year's Money in the Bank pay-per-view and debuted a fresh new look. The former NXT Superstar was released from the company in the fall of 2020 before being rehired and has since become the first-ever Queen of WWE.

Vega dyed her hair following her WWE release so that her roots were bright red as well as the underneath of her hair. When the star made her return to the company, it was expected that she would change her color back to neutral, but this didn't happen.

Instead, Vega has continued to perform with her red and black hair over the past few months and since she's already picked up the biggest win of her career so far, this could have been a lucky change.
