Samoa Joe and MJF for AEW World Championship in AEW Grand Slam 2023

AEW Grand Slam was the next big show that happened for AEW and it was combined with Dynamite. AEW Grand Slam is an annual event that happens at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York. This is the event where the maximum number of Championships are defended and the talent are excited to perform in front of more than 20,000 fans. There were a lot of great matches on this Card.

MJF beat Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship


This was the main event of the show and this match featured the youth vs experience battle. MJF is the champion and Samoa Joe is the veteran who knows how to win. This was a match that was built so well and the fans were excited for this. This was a 19 minute banger and both superstars beat the heck out of each other but in the end it was MJF who won the match and retained his championship. He has been the champion for close to a year.


Saraya beat Toni Storm for AEW Women’s Championship


This was a match that the fans were excited for because these are the 2 most women in AEW and Toni Storm is the best female wrestler in the company. They had a 9 minutes match where intact it should have been 15 but Tony Khan does not like having long women Matches. They had a very good match in the 9 minutes that they got and Saraya beat Toni Storm to retain her championship.


Ray Fenix beat Jon Moxley for AEW International Championship


This was the match where all the problems took place because in this match Jon Moxley got a concussion and this match was cut short as well as the title reign of Jon Moxley which had just started. This match went 12 minutes before it was decided that Jon Moxley could not could not continue and Ray Fenix won the championship. 


Chris Jericho beat Sammy Guevara


This was a match that was very much looking forward to because it was mentor vs student. This match was one of the best matches on the show and it went 16 minutes. Sammy Guevara had the best match of his life and Chris Jericho again showed why he is one of the best of all time. They told such a good story that Sammy Guevara was learning the trade but in the end the experience of Chris Jericho won. After the match Sammy Guevara turned on Chris Jericho


Eddie Kingston beat Claudio Castagnoli for ROH World Championship and Strong Openweight Championship


This was another match on this stacked card that the fans were excited about and Eddie Kingston was mainly the reason. This match was for both the championships and they had a banger. They wrestled for 15 minutes and in the process they elevated both the titles. The fans were rooting for Eddie Kingston to win and he won both the championships. 


Darby Allen and Sting beat Christian Cage and Luchasaurus


This was a tag team match that was featuring 2 all time legends and 2 young wrestlers. This was truly a clash of the generations. Sting and Christian Cage showed the world why they are loved and respected so much and the 2 young stars showed why they belong there. These 2 teams had a 14 minutes barn burner but in the end the experienced team of Darby Allen and Sting won the match.
