WrestleMania season is around the corner and Brock Lesnar is back in the thick of things. He was on Raw in the latest episode and Paul Heynan announced that Brock Lesnar will have an open challenge for WrestleMania 42. This is an unusual Road to WrestleMania for Brock Lesnar as he always has a set match that they build to. This year WrestleMania 42 will be held on 18th and 19th April 2026.

Brock Lesnar was at Raw in Atlanta Georgia and Paul Heynan was with him. He was back as his advocate and Paul Heynan looked right at home with Brock Lesnar. Paul Heynan as usual cut the entire promo and yet again reminded the fact that it was Brock Lesnar that broke the undefeated streak of The Undertaker at WrestleMania 30. That is arguably amongst the Top 3 most Shocking and Famous Moments of the last 20 years. During that year, WWE ran a storyline where they allowed Brock Lesnar to have any match that he wanted and The Undertaker answered the challenge. After 12 years, It is time for a new WWE superstar to challenge Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.
Brock Lesnar has cemented himself as the legend and he is still in peak physical fitness as he single handedly destroys everyone in the ring with him. There are a number of WWE superstars who would love the opportunity to have a marquee match at WrestleMania. Oba Femi is the first name that comes to mind. He was the one that confronted Brock Lesnar at Royal Rumble where both men faced each other at the event. Brock Lesnar eliminated Oba Femi from the Royal Rumble and this is a natural path for Brock Lesnar for WrestleMania 42. One other name that the fans would love to see is Gunther. He has said recently that retiring Brock Lesnar would feel good as he has also overstayed his welcome. However the difference between his other opponents and Brock Lesnar is that Brock is more powerful and can dominate him throughout the match. It would be a dream match for all WWE fans.
Brock Lesnar has been advertised to appear in 4 more Raw shows prior to WrestleMania 42 which means there is ample time from now till the event to have a good storyline for Brock Lesnar. Someone like Rusev who has Nothing to do at WrestleMania could be a great opponent as he is known as the Bulgarian Brute. There can be some absolutely wild swings that WWE could take for his opponent at WrestleMania 42. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Brock Lesnar was supposed to happen way back but Stone Cold walked out. This is a match that will instantly sell tickets and both men will get to have their match at WrestleMania. It will be after 3 years that Brock Lesnar will compete at a WrestleMania.
