The field for the Men’s Royal Rumble Match is stacked with the biggest WWE superstars. The Women’s Royal Rumble has only 2 participants in the match announced. There are a few contenders to win both the Royal Rumble Matches.

John Cena
This is the final year in the WWE career of John Cena. John Cena is the biggest WWE superstar of the last 20 years. The storyline for John Cena will be the quest for the 17th World Championship. John Cena will have a lot of support from the 60,000 fans in attendance. He will become just the second 3 time Royal Rumble Match winner along with Stone Cold Steve Austin. John Cena is someone who will also make news outside the WWE umbrella as major outlets will talk about the Royal Rumble if he wins.
CM Punk
CM Punk has only 2 things left to do in his WWE career. One is to win the Royal Rumble and the other is to main event WrestleMania. He can do both these things this year. CM Punk was the runner up in the 2024 Royal Rumble Match. He will be one of the favourites. He also has the favour he can cash on Paul Heyman to help him win the Royal Rumble. He can face Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania.
Drew Mcintyre
The best overall professional wrestler in the WWE for the past 18 months. Drew Mcintyre won the 2020 Royal Rumble but he was unable to compete in front of a crowd at WrestleMania. He has done everything WWE has asked him to do and Triple H would want to reward him. Drew Mcintyre can easily win the Royal Rumble and he can face Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania. He would want to eliminate CM Punk and get his revenge.
Women’s Royal Rumble
Iyo Sky
Iyo Sky has been with the WWE for more than 6 years. She was in NXT and she was the NXT Women’s Champion. Iyo Sky is one of the best wrestlers in the world and she has given WWE everything she has. Iyo Sky has been the WWE Women’s Champion. The only thing she has not done is win the Royal Rumble. Triple H loves Iyo Sky and as Rhea Ripley is the champion, this match at WrestleMania sounds amazing. The Royal Rumble win would be a great reward for Iyo Sky.
Charlotte Flair
Charlotte Flair has been out with an injury since October 2023. It has been 15 months since she has not wrestled a match in WWE. Charlotte Flair is missed by the fans as they have realised that she is one of the biggest stars and one of the best wrestlers. She will most likely return at the Royal Rumble. Tiffany Stratton is the WWE Women’s Champion. The WWE fans want to see the greatest against the future superstar. Tiffany Stratton has also said that Charlotte Flair is her inspiration. This would be her second Royal Rumble win.
Becky Lynch
One more big female WWE superstar that has been absent from the WWE is Becky Lynch. Becky Lynch has been absent from the WWE since the last 6+ months. She is someone that can at any time come back and win the Royal Rumble. The champions in the WWE are perfect for her as opponents. Becky Lynch is someone that has transcended the traditional wrestling space as she has entered Hollywood. The 60,000 fans would pop loudly upon hearing her music.
