The New Day kicked off Extreme Rules and was taken after by AJ Styles and Omos, as well as Bobby Lashley, their rivals for the night. The Kickoff show saw Liv Morgan vanquish Carmella among other shenanigans. Let's have a look at the matches briefly:
1. The New Day vs. AJ Styles, Omos & Bobby Lashley at Extreme Rules
AJ kicked off the first match of Extreme Rules with Xavier Woods within the ring. Styles locked in a calf crusher early but Woods overseen to reach the bottom rope. Kofi was tagged in and AJ took him down with a botched chop block before Styles asked for Huge E to tag in.
In the end, Lashley broke the pin attempt and dragged AJ to their corner to drive a tag as Extreme Rules continued. Lashley went for a Spear through the ropes but Woods dodged it and Bobby slammed outside on the floor.
Back within the ring, Lashley was going for the spear but AJ stole the tag from him. Lashley ran within the ring and speared Styles before Huge E caught him with the Huge Finishing for the win.
Result: The New Day def. AJ Styles, Omos & Bobby Lashley
2. The Usos (c) vs. Street Profits - SmackDown Tag Team Title match at Extreme Rules
Jimmy and Dawkins started off the match within the ring and The Usos took control early before Montez was labeled in and sent Jimmy and Jey off the apron and out of the ring with the assistance of Dawkins.
Dawkins got a close drop off a superplex-neckbreaker combo before The Usos hit him with a double-team move. The Usos got a near number before they took Dawkins outside and sent him into the barricades.
Ford came in with a plunge to the outside to create the spare before getting a sprinkle but the stick was broken. Jey and Jimmy joined up on Passage for a twofold superkick and the twofold Usos sprinkle to choose up the win.
Result: The Usos def. Street Profits to retain the SmackDown Tag Team Titles
3. Charlotte (c) vs. Alexa Bliss - RAW Women's Title Match at Extreme Rules
Charlotte was dominating in the ring early on at Extreme Rules and hit a backbreaker on Alexa before locking in a surfboard submission. Alexa used her mind games to distract the champ and hit a dropkick.
Alexa was caught in a stretch but managed to reverse it with a hurricanrana. Bliss went for a baseball slide but Charlotte caught her and sent the challenger into the barricades as the match continued.
Charlotte was down in the ring and Alexa tried for a Twisted Bliss but Flair dodged it. They traded pins before The Queen snatched Lilly from the corner and used the doll as a distraction to hit a big boot and the Natural Selection for the win.
Result: Charlotte def. Alexa Bliss to retain the RAW Women's title
4. Damian Priest (c) vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Sheamus - United States Title Match at Extreme Rules
Sheamus wiped out Jeff Hardy with a knee strike and sent him outside right off the bat before taking on Damian within the ring. Priest and The Celtic Warrior were battling at ringside when Jeff came in with a jump and took the champ out. Damian hit Sheamus with a chokeslam before Hardy hindered the stick with a Swanton Bomb on them both. Cleric took a knee to the confront before Hardy about stuck him. Sheamus hit the Brogue Kick on Solid but Damian sneaked up on him and rolled Sheamus over for the win!
Result: Damian Cleric def. Jeff Tough & Sheamus to hold the Joined together States title
5. Becky Lynch (c) vs. Bianca Belair - SmackDown Women's Title match at Extreme Rules
Becky about took the KOD right off the bat before the champ went for the Disarmher at Extreme Rules. Belair hit a powerslam and a splash for a close drop before sending Becky out of the ring.
Belair hit a vertical suplex before Becky snatched her by the ponytail and attempted to drag her down. Bianca got a close drop off a spine buster before hitting a colossal fallaway slam.
Bianca was caught within the hold but still overseen to lift Becky to the KOD position. In any case, Sasha Banks ran into the ring and assaulted Bianca, finishing the match in a DQ.
Result: D.N.F - Becky Lynch retained the SmackDown Women's Title
6. Roman Reigns (c) vs. 'The Demon' Finn Balor - Universal Championship match at Extreme Rules
Balor went for Roman's legs as the match started and Reigns hit a Samoan Drop on the Devil at Extreme Rules. Roman snatched a Kendo Stick from beneath the ring but the Demon came up with four Kendo Sticks taped together and beat the champ with it instead.
Balor was hit with a running knee before Roman Reigns went for a steel chair and crushed his adversary with it. Balor overseen to require the champ down and step on him, before sending him outside and into the steel steps.
Roman hit a superman punch and Balor still kicked out of it as Extreme Rules went on. Heyman got Rules let go up before The Evil spirit came back with a sling edge. Reigns hit a skewer and about got stuck but Balor kicked out with a low blow.
The lights started blazing red and the Demon's pulse was listened on the speakers as Balor rose up and hit Roman with a steel chair and sent him through the table.
The Evil spirit set up for the wrap up and was around to hit it when the ropes broke and Balor fell from the best, harming his knee. Roman utilized the opportunity to hit a skewer and choose up the win!
Result: Roman Reigns def. 'The Demon' Finn Balor to retain the Universal Championship
