Iyo Sky vs Rhea Ripley vs Bianca Belair and CM Punk vs Seth Rollins vs Roman Reigns were the best Matches of the event. WrestleMania 42 is unlikely to surpass this gate of WrestleMania 41.
WrestleMania 40 - $36,090,290
The previous record holder was WrestleMania 40 which had more than 36 million dollars in ticket sales for WWE. WrestleMania 40 was 10 times better than WrestleMania 41 quality wise. The number of tickets sold across the 2 nights was 145,298 which was 26,000 more than WrestleMania 41. Cody Rhodes beat Roman Reigns in the iconic Bloodline Rules Match at WrestleMania 40 which will always be remembered. This was the last WrestleMania which had affordable ticket pricing for the fans.
WrestleMania 39 - $21.6 million
WrestleMania 39 was the first ever WrestleMania that truly leveraged the 2 night WrestleMania and it became the highest grossing WrestleMania of all time till then. The total tickets distributed were 161.892 which was another 16,000 more than WrestleMania 40. This was the last WrestleMania that has multiple matches that were all time classics. Gunther vs Drew Mcintyre vs Sheamus , Rhea Ripley vs Charlotte Flair, The Usos vs Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes. All 4 Matches are looked at today as classics.
WrestleMania 32 - $17.3 million
This is the single largest revenue gate for WWE during the one night WrestleMania era. WrestleMania 32 was held in Dallas Texas and the tickets sold were 80,709 which generated a revenue of 17.3 million dollars. WrestleMania 3# was largely a forgettable WrestleMania that had the ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship that was won by Zack Ryder. Roman Reigns took on Triple H in the main event. WWE announced the official attendance of more than 100,000 fans.
WrestleMania 29 - $12.3 million
This was the WrestleMania held in MetLife stadium in New York, New Jersey. This was a show that had some great matches. They included The Undertaker vs CM Punk, Brock Lesnar vs Triple H and John Cena vs The Rock twice in a lifetime. This WrestleMania was the pinnacle of the PG era in WWE with John Cena as the face. At that time the women would get nothing to do in WWE. Gladly all that has changed. Vince McMahon was a lot of things and he was just a good person but he made sure that the ticket prices were affordable to the entire family so that everyone could come and watch WrestleMania.
