WWE has been having a strange habit and that is that they are scheduling their NXT PPVs on the same day as AEW has a big PPV. This time WWE has scheduled NXT Heatwave on the same day as AEW Forbidden Door. This will be an important NXT show and the match card looks promising. There are 5 Matches and out of these 3 are women’s Matches. This show will take place on 24th August 2025.
Let’s look at the Match Card for NXT Heatwave 2025
Oba Femi vs Je’Von Evans for NXT Championship
Oba Femi has been the champion for many months and it does not look like there has been any NXT superstar that has had the chops to dethrone the ruler of NXT. However that could change at NXT Heatwave because the man he will face has also had an amazing young career so far in WWE. Je’Von Evans was lost in the shuffle until an advice from The Undertaker changed everything. He will challenge Oba Femi for the NXT Championship at this show. Both men have respect for each other and it will be the hardest challenge for Oba Femi. This should get 20+ minutes. The fans will be loud for this match.
Jacy Jayne vs Masha Slamovic vs Ash by Elegance for TNA Knockouts Championship
The TNA Knockouts Championship will be defended at an NXT PPV. This is big and it will be a triple threat match. Jacy Jayne is the champion and she will defend against the former champion Masha Slamovic and Ash by Elegance from TNA. This will be a huge opportunity for Ash by Elegance to show that she has improved in the Ring. This will be the only women’s title match at the show. This match could steal the show. Jacy Jayne has shown tremendous improvement and she will look to still be a double champion at the end of this match.
Hank and Tank vs DarkState for NXT Tag Team Championship
This will be the third title match at this event. Hank and Tank won the NXT Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 41 weekend but they have had very little to do since then. DarkState has gotten better each and every week and they have been dominating the tag team division. Two members of this team will face each other for the tag team titles. This match will be a big test for DarkState to see whether they can hang in the ring with the best in the world. This tag team match could be one of the best matches of the weekend. Hank and Tank will look to show management that they should have had much more to do since they won the titles.
Jaida Parker vs Kelani Jordan vs Lola Vice to determine number 1 contender for NXT Women’s Championship
It will be one of the rare instances that a number 1 contender match will happen at a PPV. Generally these matches happen at regular TV tapings. These three women have impressed everyone with the hard work they have put in over the years. Kelani Jordan has been the NXT Women’s North American Champion. Jaida Parker has had matches for the NXT Women’s Championship. Lola Vice has improved so much ever since she has arrived in NXT. This match can surprise everyone and these three young women will look to have a match that will be talked about for years. Jacy Jayne will have a very tough challenge whoever wins this match.
Jordynne Grace vs Blake Monroe
The only match on the show that does have a title involved in it. This is a straight up grudge match. Jordynne Grace trusted Blake Monroe and in return Blake Monroe turned heel and betrayed her friend. Ever since Jordynne Grace has been looking for revenge and she will get that opportunity at NXT Heatwave. This match will be the third women’s match that will be showcased at this event. This will be a brutal match and this will not be the end of their feud. NXT knows that these are two of the biggest and most popular women in NXT currently. This match will get 20 minutes and both these women know how to deliver on the biggest of stages.
