The last SmackDown before WWE Elimination Chamber was one full of surprises. The biggest shocker of them all was the fact that Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship so quickly after winning them. This was not expected at all because Rhiyo were the most dominant tag team in the division. Rhea Ripley was going to be in the Elimination Chamber Match and this will definitely shake her confidence. The Elimination Chamber 2026 is on 28th February 2026.

The Irresistible Forces are Tag Team Champions
It was the SmackDown on 27th February 2026 and there was a tag team match between Rhiyo vs The Irresistible Forces. This was supposed to be a regular tag team match for the titles that Rhiyo would have won and they would have been looking forward to WrestleMania 42. However that is not how the night panned out. Nia Jax and Lash Legend were determined to win the tag team titles. Rhea Ripley was as dominant as ever and she was looking to win the match for her team. Nia used all her experience and she tricked the referee. Lash Legend got to face off with two of the best wrestlers in WWE. This was a big vote of confidence out by WWE creative in her and she proved them right.
This was a good match where all 4 women told a story where Rhiyo were dominating some parts of the match as they are way more experienced than Lash Legend. Nia vs Rhea Ripley was the battle of the strongest and Iyo Sky did a Frog Splash that was straight out of the coaching manual of Eddie Guerrero. They were the co-main event of the show and the fans have been circumspect in expecting anything shocking in that it is not on a PPV because Triple H doesn’t like short title Reigns. Nia Jax and Lash Legend have been a pairing for the last 3 months and Lash Legend has shown tremendous growth under the mentorship of Nia Jax. This shocking result makes the Women’s Elimination Chamber Match very interesting as Rhea will be in a foul mood and all the other women better watch out.
The Women’s Elimination Chamber Match will feature some of the biggest heavy hitters in the women’s division. Tiffany Stratton, Alexa Bliss, Asuka and Raquel Rodriguez. The Tag Team Championship for the women has seen some of the strongest representation across the board and it looks like WWE will now look to establish proper tag teams in the division and the era of two big wrestlers coming together and being a tag team are over. Rhiyo and Charlexa have done their job and raised the prestige of the Women’s Tag Team Championship. Rhea Ripley vs Jade Cargill is a match that could steal the show at WrestleMania 42.
