We are all talking about the excitement regarding WrestleMania 38 and there is a lot of it and most probably both the nights of WrestleMania 38 will be incredible but that should not stop from asking the tough questions that might make some people uncomfortable. This question that we are raising is very valid as there have been 14 matches and a confrontation announced and only 3 are women’s matches.
The number of women’s matches in the 2 night WrestleMania combined is the exact number of matches that the Women had at elimination chamber in Saudi Arabia in February where the WWE started holding women’s matches from 2019 onwards so to see both these shows having the exact same number of Women’s Matches even though the total number of matches are double is baffling.
Three Matches is not enough
There are two main title matches for both the Women’s titles and then there is a tag team title match in which all of these 8 incredible women have been paired up in a meaningless match whereas they could have had 2-3 more singles matches and a tag team match with two proper teams in it. They say that the women’s evolution is here but clearly we need to do so much more. It is very sad to see women like Sasha Banks, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan etc reduced to a tag team match.

Women can also have non title Matches
Not all of the non title matches need to go to the men as the women of WWE are equally or more capable of having singles Matches that are not for the title and tell a good story and have the fans invested in it and the performers would also feel good that they are being utilized properly and if WWE doesn’t change then there are options for these talented women such as AEW which van take them and build the Women’s division around them . It clearly shows that WWE does not trust the women to have non title matches at WrestleMania which is sad.
Stop the Lazy Booking
The lazy booking when it comes to the majority of women in WWE has to stop. Only the Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair story is gripping and it is because both these absolute incredible performers made this work from SummerSlam last year and got the crowd invested in their feud. The Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair story is not gripping at all and full of lazy booking and the fans clearly are not invested in the story but the match will be great. Then Tamina and Dana Brooke have been involved in the 24*7 title feud and those women are so much better than that, it’s very distressing to see all this. And then the tag team title match at WrestleMania, the less said about it the better, Sasha Banks, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, Shayna Baszler need not be limited to tag team Matches z and Bayley ,Alexa Bliss and Asuka are waiting to be booked but they have not been used. Hopefully in the next year all these issues will be looked into because still it feels there is a bias against women.
Invest in New faces
Till what time will we see the same women have matches against each other? It’s become boring and something needs to change, only Bianca Belair has been the shining light among the new stars. Rhea Ripley is so talented but she is used so badly, Alexa Bliss is so over but she is sitting st home , Liv Morgan should be used more, Shayna Baszler should be a killing machine. The women in NXT are used so much better and the main roster should learn from NXT and allow new young women to shine and they will not disappoint anyone.
