Daniel Bryan is perhaps the greatest entertainer in WWE to have ever stepped foot inside the ring. This man is like a magician; who can hypnotize the entire WWE Universe to cheer for him. Whether it is his wrestling skills or his ability to sell arenas, this man is a maestro in this art. Whether as a face or as a villain, Bryan is always a fan favorite wrestler. He has won loads of titles, Championships, and matches across the globe. In WWE, his journey has been a roller coaster ride.

Bryan started his career in the WWE under the NXT brand. He was mentored by the MIZ. Bryan was primarily seen as a submission specialist. Bryan was always looked upon as an underdog, and this worked heavily in his favor. He had established feuds and story-lines with several players including CM Punk, Kane, AJ Lee and others. His feud with the 'Authority' was unforgettable.

Bryan won many Championships in WWE. He is a former World Heavyweight Champion, WWE Champion thrice, also a former Intercontinental Champion, United States Champion and the Tag Team Champion. Bryan won the 2011 Money in the Bank Ladder match and successfully cashed his contract to become the then-new World Champion. He won the Slammy awards 12 times and has set several such trends in the WWE.

Bryan did an excellent job as the General Manager of SmackDown Live. He was the main attraction of the show. When the show was running low on TRP, Bryan played a crucial factor in its revival and brought the spotlight once again that the show deserved. He set several main-events which altered the face of SmackDown. Bryan's on-screen friendship with Shane McMahon was highly appreciated. His match at WrestleMania 34 along with Shane against Kevin Owens and Sami Zyan was appreciated by the WWE fans all across the globe.

Bryan also got a lot of limelight once he got married to Brie Bella. This helped him to feature in Total Divas and fans got to see a new side of him. Bryan also had an on-screen relation with AJ Lee. At WrestleMania 28, Daniel Bryan was scheduled to face Sheamus to defend his Heavyweight title. Before the match, Lee gave him a good luck kiss. Sheamus turned around and received a brogue kick from Sheamus and lost the match and the title in just 18 seconds. This has been one of the shortest matches ever in the history of professional pro-wrestling.

Bryan shared an outstanding story-line with Kane as a part of team Hell-no. The duo won the Tag team championship in WWE. Their anger management and therapy sessions were hilarious and crowds loved to see them. The way they use to call each other names, 'goat face' and 'big red freak' people would cheer for them like anything. Both of them used to annoy each other, but would still remain stuck to one another.

Bryan recently returned to in-ring competitions and has entered into a rivalry with Big Cass. WWE management has always booked Bryan's character very wisely. He has become a brand himself. The image that he created, has given him a larger than life stature in the public domain. People from age eight to eighty, all love him.

Thus, if we look at Daniel Bryan's character in the WWE, there is not an iota of doubt that he has become 'the guy' to compete against. Many wrestlers have tried to make an impression for himself by targeting Bryan, but most of them have failed. Bryan has worked hard to achieve whatever he has achieved and thus it makes him the biggest performer in WWE's PG Era.
