WWE Backlash was the PPV held in At Louis Missouri. There were more than 16,000 fans in attendance. The show had 5 Matches and all of them were very good. This was a very entertaining show and the Matches got time to deliver. This was the last time WWE fans got John Cena vs Randy Orton.

Jacob Fatu beat Damian Priest, Drew Mcintyre and LA Knight for United States Championship

This was the first match of the show and it was for the United States Championship. This was an 18 minute Banger. The match started 15 minutes into the show. This match allowed all 4 men to shine. LA Knight delivered a Rampage at the start of the match. The fans were chanting This is Awesome for Jacob Fatu as he took out all of the men on his own. Damian Priest and Drew Mcintyre fought in the crowd and Drew Mcintyre had an injury scare when he did not land on the table. All 4 men hit their finishing moves on each other and it was entertaining. It looked like LA Knight was going to win the match and Jeff Cobb debuted in WWE. Jacob Fatu was shocked to see him but he took advantage and won. Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu are having tensions.
Lyra Valkyria beat Becky Lynch for Women’s Intercontinental Championship

This was the only women’s match in the show but it was given 19 minutes on the show. Lyra Valkyria made her entrance with the wings around her back. Becky Lynch was acting all heel as she took down Lyra Valkyria. Becky was controlling most of the match and hitting her finishers but Lyra Valkyria would not go down. The crowd were cheering for both women. Lyra Valkyria got bloodied but that did not slow her down. Lyra tried to make Becky Lynch tap out but it was not enough. These women showed that women should be given the same time as the men. Becky Lynch tried using the chair but the referee interfered. She then opened the turnbuckle but was unable to take advantage. This feud is not over yet.
Dominik Mysterio beat Penta for Intercontinental Championship

The Men’s Intercontinental Championship Match was next. It was the champion Dominik Mysterio vs Penta. This was a 10 minute match and Dominik had his best singles match in his WWE career. Dominik Mysterio hit a Hurricane rana on Penta. Penta was getting the advantage but he was not able to win the match. For the first half of the match, Dominik Mysterio was without the Judgement Day. Later in the match, Carlito tried to interfere and JD McDonagh and Finn Balor attacked Penta. El Grande Americano took out Penta with a headbutt and Dominik won the match.
Gunther beat Pat McAfee

The result of the match was never in question but the way WWE handled the match was very entertaining. They gave these two 14 minutes and it was Sports Entertainment at its best. Gunther was in firm control of the match as he hit chops and tried to tap him out. Pat McAfee slipped on the turnbuckle but he recovered well. Michael Cole tried to help Pat win the match but it was to no use. Cole was pleading to Gunther to stop the match. Pat McAfee hit a few moves but Gunther kicked out at one. Gunther applied the Sleeper lock deep and after a few minutes Pat tapped out. After the match Gunther gave a nod of respect to Pat McAfee. WWE Backlash was way better than it had any right to be and the main event was next.
John Cena beat Randy Orton for WWE Championship

The main event was 28 minutes long. It was the last time that the fans were going to see John Cena vs Randy Orton. Both men made their entrances to huge pops. They both locked in but neither man was willing to give up. John Cena tried to leave the match with the WWE Championship but Randy Orton chased him and beat him. The pacing of this match was slow and these two men hit each other with finishers but both men kicked out. There was a cool spot where John Cena was going for the AA but Randy Orton reversed it into an RKO. The referee was taken out twice and John Cena himself took out a referee. Then WWE producers Nick Aldis were in the ring and Randy Orton hit them with RKOs. Towards the end of this match, R Truth came out and he tried to help John Cena because he is his childhood hero but Randy hit the RKO. John Cena hit the low blow and he won the match. After the match John Cena was emotional as the WWE fans were saying Thank You Cena.
