This rivalry that has been going on for more than 20 years will finally come to a close at WWE Backlash. This will be the last match between John Cena vs Randy Orton. This feels fresh because John Cena is the heel for the first time in this storyline. Randy Orton is the babyface the crowd loves. This will be an emotional match for everyone. They would want to have a match that they can be proud of and look back on when they get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. John Cena will win this match as this is only his first title defense. He will have a few more dream matches for the last time as WWE Champion.
Lyra Valkyria vs Becky Lynch for Women’s Intercontinental Championship
This is the biggest match for Lyra Valkyria on the main roster. She is stepping up and she is proving that she is a great promo on the microphone. Lyra Valkyria has been the Intercontinental Champion for a long time but she has not defended it a lot of times. This will be a very good wrestling match and both women would want to raise the prestige of the title. Becky Lynch will win the Intercontinental Championship and Lyra Valkyria will chase the title.
Pat McAfee vs Gunther
This is one of those Matches on the card that is a grudge match. Pat McAfee will have a one on one wrestling match after a long time. Gunther recently lost the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania. He is angry and Pat is the target he has chosen. Pat McAfee has delivered great promos and this will be a Banger. Gunther cannot have a bad match. Gunther will win this match because he needs a big win after losing at WrestleMania.
Jacob Fatu vs LA Knight vs Damian Priest vs Drew Mcintyre for United States Championship
This is a multi-man match for the United States Championship. This will be the first time in a while when both the Intercontinental Championships will be defended on the same show. Jacob Fatu is the dominant champion but he has three big challengers going after the title. Drew Mcintyre is the biggest star in the match and he would love to win this title another time. LA Knight has been United States Champion and he would like to win the other mid card title. Damian Priest has already won the World Heavyweight Championship. This match can steal the show. Jacob Fatu will win the match and still be Intercontinental Champion. He will have a lengthy reign.
Dominik Mysterio vs Penta for Intercontinental Championship
Dominik Mysterio won the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania. The crowd cheered him and he had his first defence against Penta. This will be a battle between two Luchador wrestlers. Dominik has become great in the Ring and Penta is one of the best in the world. This match will be full of interruptions as The Judgement Day will interfere. Finn Balor will try to make Dominik Mysterio lose. AJ Styles has said that he will come after the Winner of this match. Dominik Mysterio will win this match and continue to be the United States Champion. This can be a sleeper hit match.
